I'll just come out and say it: I'm obsessed with models. I know all their names, hair colors, and dress sizes. OK, the last statement is not true, but you get my drift. That's why This Year's Model, a Novel ($14) piqued my interest. It's written by famous '80s supermodel Carol Alt, so you know it has clout. If you want to find out all about the glamorous yet cutthroat world of fashion and fame, this book's for you. See it all through the eyes of the main character, the tall and gorgeous Melody Ann Croft. Like many real-life models, she gets discovered while waitressing, and quickly learns that in modeling, nothing's easy. Dun dun dun!

The Full-On Fashion Crowd at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards

It was a fashion explosion last night at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards. Designers, models, editors, photographers, and muses gathered in NYC to see who would win the grand prize - $200,000 and a year of mentoring. Presenters included Lanvin's Alber Elbaz and Nicole Kidman, while Anna Wintour and Diane von Furstenberg played hostesses. Models and actresses dressed up to the freshest of American designers - there were smiles all around. The biggest smile was worn by the winner, Brooklyn-born designer Sophie Theallet, and the runners-up were Patrik Ervell and Monique Pean. Fab Face: Constance Jablonski

It was good to be Constance Jablonski during the Spring '10 shows. The French stunner booked more shows - 72! - than any other model this season. Trailing behind her were Kasia Struss at 61 and Hanne Gaby Odiele at 56. So if Constance walked at least twice in each show, then that means she showed off about 144 looks. Whoa.

The 19-year-old is clearly a rising star; she has a tall, svelte bod, gorgeous blue eyes, just-right lips, and a perfect jaw. In the three years she's been in the industry, she's worked for Givenchy, Teen Vogue, Topshop, Donna Karan, La Perla, Moschino, Harper's Bazaar . . . the list goes on and on. Constance is a constant, so keep your eyes peeled.

A Fabby Halloween: Vogue Queen Bee, Anna Wintour

Do you have the gall to be Vogue editor Anna Wintour for Halloween this year? Then you've got some major competition. Model Snejana Onopka, left, did a spot-on impersonation of Anna in Vogue Paris a while back. Let it be your guide. I first suggest watching The September Issue, you know, as field research. Next, it's imperative to have the following Anna signatures: a perfectly neat bob wig, some form of (faux) fur, dark sunglasses, and slingback sandals with a kitten heel. Also, carry the latest issue of Vogue, hunch over just a tad, and don't crack a smile. I know, it's tough being Anna, but well worth it.

Gucci is going super high-tech. You heard that Geek? It has just launched an interactively cool site, GucciEyeWeb.com, in conjunction with Gucci Eyeweb, a new line of sunglasses for 18 to 25 year olds. Instead of using professional models, like on its main site, Gucci's worldwide customers are the stars here. Users are asked to upload their photos, which are then shown over a 3-D image of the sunglasses, like below. Log in next month when Gucci swaps the current sunglasses - purchase them now for $220 - for ski goggles, just in time for the Winter slopes.

Megan Fox - Armani Underwear and Jeans Muse

Right after it was revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo is taking over David Beckham's Emporio Armani underwear modeling contract, we get more exciting news: 23-year-old hottie Megan Fox - here, sitting front row at Giorgio Armani's Couture show - is set to be the new face, er body, for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans. She's taking over from Victoria Beckham. But unlike David and Victoria, Cristiano and Megan won't be appearing together. Darn! Starting January, you can see Megan's billboards and print ads, which were shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in LA. Thoughts?

RIP: Irving Penn

Irving Penn, lensman extraordinaire, died today in his Manhattan apartment, at 92. The famed photographer is best known in fashion for shooting vibrant scenes for Vogue. He married model Lisa Fonssagrives and they spent 42 years together until her death in 1992. I don't have a favorite Penn photograph, I think it's time to take a look at the artist's work, pay tribute, and select something special.

NYFW Fab Face: Eniko Mihalik

Hungarian model Eniko Mihalik is one to watch. She's currently strutting the New York Fashion Week catwalks like a pro, and she has even made it into the 2010 Pirelli calendar, which is no easy feat. If you don't yet know the 22-year-old, Fashion Week is a good place to start because she's made it into some major shows like Rodarte, Carolina Herrera, and Jason Wu. But her shining moment, in my humble opinion, is this look from Carlos Miele - now that's how to do high-fashion cleavage!
