The transitioning weather has left me nonplussed. For the past couple weeks, I've found myself standing in front of my closet longer then I would like - I don't know what to wear. It's not exactly freezing outside, but I can't pull off bare legs. So what's a girl to do?

Kate Moss and her crew - daughter Lila Grace and boyfriend Jamie - loaded up the car and headed to who knows where. The important thing is that Kate looked snazzy in a tweed blazer, navy jeans, and moccasin boots. Of course, she didn't leave home without her macho watch and white Hermes Birkin. That thing looks stuffed; I wonder what's in it. The look is quintessential Kate but also a great example of a transitional ensemble.

It looks like the weather is cooling in NYC (already?), but Ashley Olsen kept herself warm in an incognito long black coat. Her choice of black sandals, however, revealed that it's still Summer. The actress stuck to her usual subdued palette by finishing the look with a gray scoop tee, skinny jeans, and of course, a macho watch. To add to her elusiveness, Ash wore black angular sunnies. Daylight Savings Time just happened and, also like clockwork, I'm suddenly repulsed by boots, sweaters and knit hats. Instead, I want leather sandals, tiny shorts, crepe-thin dresses or anything that whispers "wear me on spring break".

Of course, this is partially (largely?) because I want it to be warm enough to wear those things. It's stupid to hope that buying summer clothes will spark the weather to match my new wardrobe, but I do it anyway. But since it doesn't really work like that, maybe I should invest in some more transitional pieces instead.
