With Cruise '10 in full effect, let's stop and evaluate the latest. Frocks and skirts dominated, but what really caught my eye were clean, lean trousers — quite the opposite of crazy harem pants. Instead, trousers ranged from cropped and loose-fitting to tight and body-con.

Watching Viktor & Rolf's virtual fashion show makes me wonder why more designers don't go this route. I smell a new trend. Old-school model Shalom Harlow is the only one on catwalk.

Viktor & Rolf are known for their experimental shows during Paris Fashion Week but sadly, the two have opted out of presenting their collection on the runway. Instead, the eccentric duo will be unveiling their 2009 Spring/Summer line virtually on their website. That means everyone (including me and you) can view their creative clothes and antics online.

The recent Viktor & Rolf retrospective left you guys split between freaky and fabulous. If you leaned toward fabulous, look forward to reading The House of Viktor & Rolf ($38), by fashion historian Caroline Evans and fashion editor Susannha Frankel, in their tribute to the eccentric Dutch duo.
This richly detailed book examines Viktor & Rolf’s quirky designs across the years, along with awesome behind-the-scenes photos, personal interviews, and stunning pictorials.

Viktor & Rolf have always set themselves apart with their Dutch eccentricity and experimental runways. They came onto the scene in 1996 and delivered their creations as art, or more accurately, as an art installation. For an upcoming retrospective, instead of featuring their clothes in the normal mannequin format, this dynamo duo chose something more .

The day you realize you probably have enough LBDs to last you a lifetime (me, yesterday) but can't get enough of the classic noir color, consider the little black jacket, or what I am hereby coining the LBJ. There are so many Karl Lagerfeld imitators out there, but in BlackBook Magazine's cheeky feature Isn't It Iconic? the Chanel designer isn't the only one getting mimicked. Viktor & Rolf, Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano, Anna Piaggi, and Carine Roitfeld are also given mini versions of themselves in the latest issue.

Viktor & Rolf, the Dutch designers well-known for turning things upside down, have lent their unique abilities to Rémy Cointreau's Champagne house Piper Heidsieck to create Viktor & Rolf Rosé Sauvage.
In true V&R style, the champagne bottle's bottom becomes its top, and its back becomes the front. The accompanying ice bucket and champagne flutes share a similar illusion, with the flute turning upside down into a cocktail glass.
