I was perusing the Love It or Hate It? group when I noticed the Melissa Pink Kali Bow Seamless Wedge ($124) that biarose found. She says she loves them. Me? Not entirely. I'm all about girlie bows and the color red, but for some reason the shape of the shoe isn't sitting well with me. I think I would love them more if they were flats. How about you? This eclectic girl decided to pair her futuristic Marni wedges with an artsy vintage jacket and brown dress. I love the rich color combo and silk fabrics. These Victoria's Secret Two Lips Zigzag Wedge Sandals ($89) are out of this world. These shoes look as though they've come out of a rap video but then again, I can see these worn on the red carpet. By Fergie or Paris maybe? From the zigzag heel to the rhinestone-embellished strap, these are definitely a show stopper. Are they hot or not?

Life's a Beach: Work on Your Wedge

Just like you need to work on your tan, you need to work on your wedge. Wedge sandals are all over the place, so it's easy to get the impression that finding a stylish pair is a cinch. 'Tis not always the case. Lucky for Hayden Panettiere, she already scored a cool lucite pair to trek.

Instead of walking the sands and asphalts in flip flops - yawn - opt for cool wedges that will not only give you height but also comfort. As far as I'm concerned, everyone can use some extra comfort when in a slinky bikini.

The Look For Less: Marni Patent Runway Wedge

Oh, Marni. Why do you have to go and make a collection of incredibly desirable footwear that's out of my reach? This Marni Patent Runway Wedge ($685) is something I can ideally splurge on, but is it really worth paying that much for something I can't possibly wear every day? I think not.

This Nine West Newtime Wedge ($89) is the perfect alternative to the Marni love above. There's no patent in sight, only satin, but they're equally gorgeous and attention-grabbing. I still probably wouldn't be able to wear them every day, but for that price, I wouldn't feel bad in the slightest.
