Whitley Kros will always have a special place in Fab's heart. It was such a pleasure meeting the designers, Marisa Ribisi and Sophia Coloma, at LA Fashion Week Spring '09. The girls have just released their Holiday collection and it's everything we expected from them: girlie, with fashion-forward touches, but never over the top.

I'm moving on. I'll always love animal prints, but who can resist taking it further and wearing your favorite furry friend? The moment I saw this Whitley Kros WK Spring Tank ($176), I melted.

On Easter Sunday, the fam and I headed to a huge picnic filled with good food and relatives I hadn't seen since Christmas. The weather was partly sunny so I needed you to help me find a fantastic ensemble that incorporated layers. I was thinking something along the lines of Isabel Marant's Spring collection.

LA Fashion Week is a lot smaller than say New York or Paris, but don't be fooled by its diminutive size. We spotted some fabulous collections overflowing with cutting-edge design and artistry. From Grecian gowns to Rick Owens-inspired jackets, LA had lots.

Some designers create clothes alone, some do it with a partner. Dolce & Gabbana, Proenza Schouler, and Rodarte are some of the more famous houses with designing duos. You know their names, but do you know their faces?

When I first met Whitley Kros designers Marissa Ribisi and Sophia Banks backstage at their fashion show at LA Fashion Week, they were excited to take their business to the web. One of their goals was to be huge online. After much anticipation, the duo can achieve their dream, because WhitleyKros.com has officially claimed its space on the Internet.

Randomly, Little Red Riding Hood made an appearance on the catwalks of LA Fashion Week. Except, the brave little girl came in the form of tall, beanpole models showing off a Fall 2008 trend: hoods. Striped cardigans had hoods at the Whitley Kros show (left); coats at the Alexis Lamontagna collection came hooded (right); and one of Octavio Carlin's silk dresses even incorporated the style.

It was all checkerboard chicks at Whitley Kros' Fall '08 show! This time around, Marissa Ribisi (Giovanni's twin sis, in case you forgot) and Sophia Banks whipped up a more '80s-inspired collection, but as always, they delivered the fun.
Models, including America's Next Top Model cycle nine second runner up Chantal Jones, sashayed down the catwalk in oodles of plaid, large black and white checkers, and zebra-emblazoned pieces, as stars like Bijou Phillips and Jenna Elfman looked on.

I knew this cardigan looked familiar when I saw it! When I interviewed Whitley Kros co-founder Sophia Banks at LA Fashion Week in October, she was wearing something similar to this Whitley Kros Navy and Creme Cardigan ($286). I love stripes so this would be great for a casual day of running errands.
