Angelina Jolie attended a UN screening of the documentary Darfur Now looking professional and chic. She has this amazing ability to look just as glamorous in trousers as she does in a gown - if not more so. Her ensemble is ideal for work because it's demure yet stylish, and you always want to look fabulous, even at the office. But back to Angelina, her Alexander McQueen patent bag is what really takes her look from blasé to high-fashion.

Good News: Fall 2006 Isn't Just About Leggings

As you know from my earlier post about Fall 2006 fashion trends, I am definitely on the fence about the whole leggings and skinny jeans thing. I am just not sure I can pull off the look. Fall 2011 Trend Breakdown: How to Wear '40s-Inspired Style

The call to '40s elegance was all over the Fall runways, drawing us in with classic glamour from Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, and Miu Miu. Pucci Spring 2012

Peter Dundas showed off his signature sexy aesthetic for Pucci's gypsy bohemian Spring collection, highlighting gorgeous printed gowns, sexy midriff tops, and curve-hugging minidresses. For daywear, Dundas highlighted wide-leg trousers and Bermuda shorts paired with printed tops along with sexier options, like a fitted red pencil skirt vamped up with a sheer lace blouse. However, it was the decadent, over-the-top ensembles which stole the show. The sheer organza skirts, made of the brand's archival prints, and handkerchief gowns were gorgeous showstoppers. There were also an abundance of pantie-baring sheer gowns leaving little to the imagination and a beautiful yellow long-sleeved embellished minidress. In Pucci's world, if you got it, flaunt it.

Trends: Midriff tops, handkerchief hemlines, peasant tops, ruffles, Bermuda shorts, sheer.

Peep Club Monaco's Latest Fall Lookbook

For its latest lookbook, Club Monaco teamed up with Dazed & Confused magazine to create a '70s cool palette worn not just by models, but other fashion insiders as well. Fresh off of her runway appearance at Tibi's Spring showing, the Man Repeller's Leandra Medine made another model appearance in Club Monaco's Fall lookbook wearing a cute fringed skirt and cream jacket. Further proof that you don't need to have model proportions to look amazing in the brand's array of throwback-inspired wide-leg jeans, capes, pea coats, pleated skirts, cable knit sweaters, and lots of furry faux fur jackets. Oscar de la Renta Spring 2012

A sense of youthful fun pervaded Oscar de la Renta's Spring 2012 runway show. It was partly due to Justin Timberlake in the front row, the runway models' crimped hair, dewy skin, and sock-with-sandal styling, but it was mostly the clothes. Not driven so much by a theme as by a girl, a younger girl than de la Renta's traditional customer, who will be a little more playful with her choice of clothes. A feather-trimmed sequined shift, acid-green harem pants with a feathered crop top, and gathered taffeta ball-skirt gowns layered with lace cropped shirts were not for the faint of fashion heart; more staid were a series of easy chiffon shift dresses and wide-leg trousers and pussy-bow blouses. It's as if the almost-80-year-old designer were having a good long wink at the crowd, reminding us that you're never too old to have fun. It's a treat that his version of fun is so darn beautiful, too.

Trends: bold color, volume, asymmetry, crochet, feathers.
Colors: cobalt blue, white, pale pink, champagne, yellow floral print.
Key Piece:The taffeta ball gowns layered with cropped tops in lace and crochet.
Accessories: Strappy stilettos and open-toe booties in black and white from Manolo Blahnik.
Who Would Wear It: Certainly not Justin Timberlake, but we can't wait to see young starlets like Diane Kruger, Kate Bosworth, Rachel Bilson, and Olivia Palermo work de la Renta's jazzy, evening options on the red carpet.
