Any handbag fiend will tell you: there's a definite distinction between day purses and night purses. The two are friends but they are different. The former tends to be bigger and more functional. Gorgeous! OC_Fashionista fab found this Jimmy Choo Mave Leather Clutch, $900, and for that I am thankful because it is definitely the bag to have. There are so many good things about this mini Jimmy. It's cobalt blue; it's a combination of a clutch and a wrislet; and it folds over unlike any other small bag out there. Who knew a little bag could have such a multifaceted personality?!

I've always avoided the small leather goods known as wristlets because of the somewhat silly name. But I finally road-tested (or, should I say, club-tested) one of these wallets-plus-wrist-strap during my Friday night out with the girls. Now I understand the wonders of these accessories, which are sort of like utilitarian and harder-to-lose clutches. You can hang the wallet from your wrist when you're out on the town, then just toss it in your purse for everyday use. Here are some of my favorite finds at designer and non-designer prices.

Chloe Aubrey Leather Wristlet Hobo: Love It or Hate It?

I know this looks like a lot of heavy metal, but if it weren't for the weird ring at the top of this Chloe Aubrey Leather Wristlet Hobo, $2,760, I would actually consider carrying it. I seriously dig the silver-tone hardware and gold and silver studs on the front. But that ring top handle makes it look like a prop for a circus act or something. What do you think?

The weather is still warm and I love it. Last week I attended a hotel rooftop pool party with a bunch of friends. I'm sure I'll cherish the memory come next season's gusty winds. Lots of splashing, drinking, munching, and some dancing were involved. Who was up for the challenge of dressing me? Botkier for Target handbags are right around the corner and we've got 'em for your viewing pleasure. These bags - priced $20-$50 - will be at select Target stores and at Target.com July 20 through September 14. The line includes clutches, wristlets, satchels and hobos that encompass the designer’s philosophy of using hardware as the “jewelry” of the handbag. The focus of design remains on functionality and the colors include black, white, fuchsia and metallics.

What do we think?! I like these brushed metallic satchels, and I like that they come in both silver and gold. Eenie meenie miney moe!
