Halle Berry joined Nicole Richie at the March of Dimes annual Celebration of Babies event in LA over the weekend. While Nicole opted for a boho maxi, Halle looked sexy sleek in a navy blue Yigal Azrouel number and smokey suede pumps. I love the way the dress melts over her curves and shows just enough cleavage. A diamond bracelet, diamond-studded earrings, and a delicate necklace provide the right amount of sparkle.

2010 Spring New York Trend Alert: Naranja

Though I don't have a lot of it in my closet (do any of us?), I quite enjoy naranja, aka orange. It's optimistic, energizing, youthful - it is FitSugar's color, after all. Amongst all the white, neutrals, and grays of Spring, orange stood out to me at once. Red is Fall's favorite fiery hue, so it's no surprise its tangy sister has stepped in for Spring. Diane von Furstenberg didn't hold back - Chanel Iman is double layered in orange goodness. In need of a new outlook on life? Nibble on some naranja.

Yigal Azrouel's Charitable eBay Auction

I don't know what it is about Yigal Azrouel. I have always coveted his creations; they're so effortless, worldly, and feminine. To add to the designers splendor, he has launched a charity eBay store selling women and men's Summer pieces for way below retail prices. What's more, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC). Starting today at 7PST and through June 19, bid on wonderfully draped dresses, colorful separates, and cool denim. If you want a small piece of the action, Yigal designed an exclusive eco-friendly $35 tee, proceeds also benefiting the NRDC.

Chic Cruise '10 Just Got Hotter

Ready or not, here come more chic cruise '10 collections. And let me tell ya, this batch is the hottest. Alexander Wang, Rag & Bone, Helmut Lang, and Yigal Azrouël have delivered ruggedly cool duds; Calvin Klein is minimalistic but subtly sexy; Brian Reyes is youthful and lends gorgeous prints; Caroline Herrera, Jason Wu, and Diane von Furstenberg are all about brights; and Miu Miu (left) gives us sheer fluidity. Go on, get your cruise on.

MTV Movie Awards: Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart went rather casual at tonight's awards. Her hair was tousled, she wore sneakers on her feet, but the red and black dress by Yigal Azrouël did take the look up a notch. I think this ensemble is very Bella. Do you all agree?

New York Fashion Week, Fall 2009: Yigal Azrouel

You can always count on Yigal Azrouel to chill out Fashion Week. Catering to the downtown set, Yigal showed a luxurious, yet rugged, collection of cozy chic coats, stovepipe pants, statement dresses, and draped layers. The gal in Yigal looks like she's not trying too hard. The palette was smoky, with shots of red and purple, and ivory kept things crisp; black and gray never looked so good together. There was a perfect mix of constructive and slouch. Dramatic collars tickled my fancy, as well as a perfect camel fur chubby (below), and leather accents. The designer collaborated with jewelry designer Pamela Love, and exotic cuffs, claw earrings, and big silver rings delivered an even tougher vibe. At the same time, jaws were wagging about the controversial front row guest: Eliot Spitzer's ex-call girl, Ashley Dupre. Say what?

On Our Radar: Yigal Azrouel Accessorizes His Brand

Everyone wants a piece of the accessories pie and designer Yigal Azrouël is the latest. For his Spring '09 show, he collaborated with Swiss cobbler Walter Steiger on two shoes. One was a pair of sculpted $920 leather booties on a thin, stacked heel, and the other a $795 high-heeled sandal with wide leather straps, below. As of now, the shoes are only found at one of two Yigal Azrouël boutiques in New York. “I want to see what people think, if they like them,” Azrouël said.

In addition, Yigal is creating scarves and handbags for Spring. The latter, inspired by a camera case, consists of five vintage-looking pieces ranging from $700 to $1,375. Those you can find at his stores as well as the Boston-based Gretta Luxe, Divine Girls and Carrots, both in San Francisco, and Dallas’s 45-10.

New York Fashion Week, Spring 2009: Throw On Jackets

So maybe Harem and pajama pants aren't your cup of Chai. I'm sure a throw on jacket will appease your fashion taste buds. Blazers and tuxedo jackets have been in vogue for a while now, so I was excited to see variations on motorcycle jackets, cardigans, short-sleeve trenches and more. I especially perked up for floor-grazing cardigans and ruffled jackets. But this Yigal Azrouel sporty jacket is a vision; I love how the collar flapped in the runway wind just so.
