Feminine opulence pervaded the Lanvin Fall 2012 collection, and how gorgeous it was. Elbaz has always stressed the importance of designing for women, and in this collection, women's curves took center stage, with the focus on the waist. The defining factors? Peplum, balloon sleeves, and lots of belting and draping, which weaved themselves mostly into dresses, but outerwear and richly-hued furs as well. The show opened with a series of jewel-hued pieces - sleek shifts with ruffled details at the neck or down the back, peplum tops paired with slim pencil skirts - then moved through a sexy series of black outfits of leather and fur fit for the edgy city chick. The final act was the most theatrical - dresses were embellished with lace and jewels, or done in rich velvet, or layered with ruffled, jewel-toned furs and accessorized with opera gloves. Finally, the jewelry: statement necklaces fit for a queen, but sure to decorate the necks of fashionable girls everywhere next season. Click to see the whole collection, as it's a beauty.

For Fall 2011, designer Alber Elbaz went for monochromatic outfits in classic silhouettes. Cocoon-like jackets and cape coats paired with pencil skirts along with wide-brimmed hats in black, brown, and red opened the show. But, as the show progressed, Alber demonstrated his emphasis on the female form with body hugging dresses with strong shoulders. Embellished necklines, structured hand bags, and menswear-inspired loafers added a finishing touch to the collection!

Lanvin For H&M Haute Couture - All the Fun Moments You Don't Want to Miss!

The Pierre hotel in NYC was the place to be seen last night. Lanvin for H&M hosted a magical haute couture show - Fab supported one of the 25 looks for charity - and as you can imagine, the night had no shortage of fun! Of course, Alber Elbaz was on hand to celebrate, as were Emma Roberts and a gaggle of gorgeous models like Dree Hemingway. Anna Dello Russo even made an appearance on the catwalk! The entire production was filled with energy, gorgeous chandeliers, peonies galore, and girls dressed as French maids just standing around. The front row was filled with Alexander Wang, Tory Burch, Sophia Coppola, and the likes. Step inside for all the fun moments you don't want to miss!

Last night we attended Lanvin for H&M's haute couture show in NYC - more exciting details to come on that later! And yes, you heard correctly, the house has created one-of-a-kind couture versions of the less expensive H&M pieces. And it's all for a good cause; bid on one of the high-end looks, including this one supported by yours truly, and proceeds will go to UNICEF, as part of H&M's "All For Children" project. Prabal Gurung's Favorite Fashion Moment - "Alber Elbaz Said, 'I Know Who You Are!'"

When we heard that designer Prabal Gurung was going to make an appearance at Neiman Marcus in San Francisco, we didn't hesitate to run over there, even in our high heels! As expected, he was a delight - we sat on fancy chairs and chatted about everything from his beginnings to his dream collaborations to favorite holiday styling tips. But first, we must share Prabal's favorite fashion moment thus far: meeting Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz.

Both attended the recent 2010 ACE Awards in NYC - where Alber was honored with a Designer of the Year award - and when Prabal went up to Alber to meet him, Alber said: "I know who you are." Prabal couldn't believe his ears. "Really?" he asked. He shared that that was a defining moment for him because he has looked up to Alber for so long. "It's a moment I will always cherish," Prabal says. He went on about how he admires the way Alber thinks of women, and, in fact, it's the same way he, himself, views women. When we brought up Lanvin's upcoming collaboration with H&M, Prabal couldn't be more thrilled: "It's one of the best fashion videos I've seen in a long time.
