And wise choice with the red patent strappies; they round out the look with a flash of color. Now only if she applies her new found fashion knowledge to her clothing line, Mblem.!

What I admire about Kate Moss is that, even though she's a mega-celeb and has tons of cash, she doesn't mind repeating outfits. Here, at Paul McCartney's exclusive performance in London, she looks a lot like she did when leaving the Topshop offices in London on Monday. I love her dark flare jeans (do you smell a comeback for bell bottoms?), her signature black Topshop vest and large hobo bag. Kate has this unique ability to look so effortlessly put-together. No wonder she's a style icon for many, including myself!

Ready-to-Wear Designers Delve Into Jewelry

It's raining baubles: Thakoon, Alice + Olivia, and Milly have announced expansions into jewelry.

Thakoon Panichgul has been swooped up by Japanese fine jewelry brand, Tasaki, to serve as its creative director. “My goal is to approach jewelry design in the same manner that I approach clothing: always move forward but respect the past,” said Panichgul.

Alice + Olivia received some help from jewelry extraordinaire, Karen Erickson, to design a limited-edition jewelry collection set to debut in Spring. The line, ranging from $278 to $393, is funky and modern - check out this rad leather floral bangle.

Milly designer, Michelle Smith, took inspiration from her Spring line to create Lucite necklaces, gold-plated bracelets, and colorful enamel cuffs. “From the time I was a girl, I was always into vintage jewelry. It is a passion of mine, so I thought it would be a great addition to the Milly collection,” said Smith. Her collection retails from $75 to $325, and will also launch in Spring. Bring on the bling!

Trend Alert: Metallica Jackets

I have a ton of Winter coats in my closet, but I've yet to own a metallica jacket. I admit, I was shy of the shiny, but seeing Gwyneth Paltrow in her silver Alice + Olivia coat and Christian Louboutin caged booties at the Valentino event in NYC swayed me otherwise. These toppers inject major wattage to dark winterwear, and are perfect for upcoming holiday soirees. If the longer length is too much bling for your taste, try out shorter jackets or tailored blazers. Let's not forget to pair these shimmery jackets with tough shoes - a la Gwyneth - to temper the glossy glamour.

New York Fashion Week, Spring 2008: Alice + Olivia

Mother Nature works in mysterious ways and the downpour right before Alice + Olivia's Alice in Wonderland themed Spring show added to the mystique.

Located at their store, which they outfitted to comply with the whimsical and trippy story of Alice, I found myself falling down the rabbit hole while viewing colorful party dresses, high waisted pants and shorts, bold patterns, frilly sleeves and an overall fun and fantastical collection. There were casual pieces too, like light blue denim and laid back tailored jackets.

But the real treats, aside from a hippie lux sheer blouse with patchwork beaded front, were the yellow and black edible treats. From cupcakes beckoning "Eat Me" to absinthe, I managed to squeeze in the ultimate fashionable snack. I'd like Hayden Panettiere, a big fan of Alice + Olivia, to know that she missed out!

The Look For Less: Alice + Olivia White Jewel Face Tee

Super girlie tees are all the rage, thanks to Lanvin's trés chic version. The more bows and frills, the better! Alice + Olivia's White Jewel Face Tee ($198) is so cute, I just want to eat it up. I can see myself wearing it with a pair of skinny black jeans and metallic ballet flats. Et voilà. My only concern is the price tag - it's so trendy, I'm afraid I won't want to wear it five years from now. And so I set out to find a cheaper version . . .

This Pastry Sweetie Print Tunic ($26) isn't identical to the one above, but it has resemblances: the big bow on the shoulder, the gorgeous face. Plus, it's way more agreeable to my wallet. I can still wear it with the aforementioned outfit and no one will know the difference. Yes!

Remember when I met Mena Suvari at Alice + Olivia's Spring '09 show, and she described the brand as "very easy, comfortable, and sexy"? She was right on. The actress exuded all those things in this Alice + Olivia gray halter maxi to a recent party in Malibu. It's the perfect canvas for all of Mena's fabulous Lia Sophia jewels - everything from her wrists to her neck to her ears are decked out. Toughening up the otherwise soft look are seriously strappy black platforms. Beach meets street . . . cool!

Sneak Peek! Alice + Olivia, Fall '09

I'm the type that likes to mix a little flirty with a little funk. Alice + Olivia knows what I mean. For Fall, designer Stacey Bendet fused the two elements together creating a fearlessly feminine collection. Her super-soft tunics and hoodies would complement anything in my closet and I adore the flirty skirts and frocks. For bottoms, Stacey gave us destroyed acid-wash jeans and cropped trousers while tops stayed simple. All together a seamless selection of good girl meets bad.

Designer Spotlight: Alice Ritter

For Alice Ritter, a Parisian designer who defected to New York almost ten years ago, every day is a great day to be a girl. Her clothes have a very romanticized feminine element to them - lots of flounce, and an almost dreamy retro quality.

I haven't met her in person, but I have seen a couple of her shows in New York. When I was backstage at one of them, I saw her getting interviewed and she was absolutely adorable with her little French accent. In any case, if you are very into the retro-modern look, definitely check Alice Ritter out - especially because Intermix is having a sale on Alice Ritter's Spring collection, $189-$460, right now! Fab Flash: All-Star Designer Trio Creates Supergirl Collection

Supergirl is getting a banging new look. In conjunction with Warner Bros., childhood friend designers Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss, Alice Roi, and Laura Poretzky, are teaming up to create a resort collection under the Supergirl brand. Roi, who's known for her edgy signature line; Lonstein Gruss, contemporary designer for Shoshanna; and Poretzky, owner and designer of Abaeté, will be fusing their talents together into one collection.

“When we were creating the line, we talked a lot about how we would wear it. We all worked to push each other into new directions, which helps us a lot when it comes to our own collections. Laura and I never thought we would be putting Alice’s metal studs on a dress, but mixing those things worked well in the end,” said Lonstein Gruss.

The 35-piece collection, showing at the MAGIC show in Las Vegas next month, will include dresses, tops, jeans, and jackets wholesaling between $23 to $193.
