ANTM Is Now in the Running . . . to Get Its Own Fragrance

It seems like just about every star has his or her own celebrity scent, but now it's the so-called star-maker that's getting its own fragrance. That's right: after 17 cycles on the air, America's Next Top Model is set to launch its own perfume, Dream Come True ($13-$22).

Of capturing the essence of the show into the juice, Ben Bennett of Hatch Beauty (the developer of the fragrance) explained, "That is an exciting, heartfelt moment of the show when you know for one of those girls their life is going to change. So, we knew we wanted to bring that to life." Contestants of the current season of the series were also called upon to help create the scent. Look for the ANTM-branded perfume at Target exclusively this January, and catch up with your favorite contestants in our ANTM: Where Are They Now? special.

Tyra Banks Launches E-Zine Today!

Tyra Banks has added yet another aspect to her media empire: an online magazine. The former Super, who already produces her namesake talk show and America’s Next Top Model, will be be launching e-zine, Tyra: Beauty Inside and Out, on TyraBanks.com, today at 5 p.m. Topics will cover fashion, beauty, healthy living, and relationships. The site will also contain exclusive, behind-the-scene footage and photos from ANTM and The Tyra Show. America's Next Top Model Auditions Get Dangerous

The streets were littered with headshots and high heels. Someone shouted "guns" and even "bombs." Women lost their purses, but thankfully, no one lost her life. A John Waters movie, you ask? Nope. Just another Saturday in New York when ladies in line to audition for America's Next Top Model created a melee that required police reinforcement and ambulances. All just to have Tyra force them into tragic haircuts while telling 'em to smile with their eyes. Me? I'd stand in line to audition for Cleveland's Next Top Model. That's waaaay cooler.

The Scoop: Nigel Barker Makes A (Fashion) Statement Against Seal Fur

With the fashion industry taking the Cool vs. Cruel anti-fur movement to heart, it seems that we're finally making some headway on the realization that cruelty for the sake of couture isn't the best idea. Plus, when celebs like Hayden Panettiere make headlines for their causes – like her involvement in Save The Whales, Again! – it puts a blazing spotlight on issues that are important to our world.

Just like Hayden, Nigel Barker, one of Tyra's industry judges on Americas Next Top Model, is taking a stand against March's annual commercial seal hunt (where each year hundreds of thousands of baby seals are hunted and killed for their fur). Traveling to eastern Canada this week, Nigel will be scoping out the baby seals before the hunt begins :

“It is my hope that by witnessing these baby seals in their natural environment we can draw attention to the inhumane slaughter that will occur in a few short weeks,” said Barker. “Every year hundreds of thousands of baby seals are clubbed and shot to death for their fur. Their carcasses are discarded like waste and left on the ice. It is my strong opinion that this is bigger than making a fashion statement. This is about making a life statement. If we call ourselves human we must act humanely.”

If that's not enough, Nigel will be returning to the ice flows of eastern Canada to film and witness the seal hunt in progress. Ultimately, Nigel and The Humane Society hope that the seal fur trade will be banned in Europe, where a majority of the fur is shipped and sold. Fab Flash: ANTM Renewed Until 2010!
