If there is one thing I prefer about Heidi Montag's clothing line to The Hills rival Lauren Conrad's it's the entertaining photography. Heidi clearly thinks she's a model, and here she is "modeling" in her Fall collection Look Book. Freaky or Fabulous? Heidi Montag Anchor Blue Ad

I have to admit, we've been anticipating the worst from Heidi's clothing line at Anchor Blue. Her ad is at best mediocre and kind of tacky. I usually like zebra prints but she has a way of making it look tacky and the black shorts are pretty blah. I am, however, glad she decided to not show too much skin in the ad. And, what's up with the bunny wearing bling around his neck?!

Is Heidi's debut collage-style ad freaky or Fab? You tell me.

Fab Flash: Heidi Montag to Launch Heidiwood

As I told you back in November, Heidi Montag is going to Heidiwood. Although Lauren Conrad was always The Hills girl with fashion-designer aspirations, Heidi decided to bring her short stint at LA's Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising to fruition.

She's collaborating with retail chain Anchor Blue on a line of junior apparel and accessories set to debut by April 15. Striped dresses, color-rich tanks, tees, black shorts, white-denim tops, bags, and jewelry are all in the works, priced from $10 to $60.

The partnership will continue for two more collections, and the Fall Heidiwood line is anticipated to involve sweaters and jackets in darker, autumnal colors. Heidi will also be featured in the Anchor Blue ad campaign beginning April 1. Joy. I wonder how it will compare with Lauren's collection?

On Our Radar: Heidi Montag, Fashion Designer

Heidi of The Hills fame is taking a page out of costar Lauren Conrad's book by designing her own line of clothing.

Heidi just inked a deal earlier this week to be the face of boutique chain Anchor Blue in 2008. She will also design three seasons of clothing for the brand, focusing on young women's contemporary clothes like jeans, T-shirts, tops, and accessories. The clothes are expected to be in store February 2008.

Track-Girl-Meets-Romeo-and-Juliet Nails at Jen Kao

You have to love the clever concepts designers and beauty teams come up with (Elizabeth Taylor at the gym, anyone?) during Fashion Week. And for Jen Kao's Spring 2012 runway, the nail art inspiration did not fail to disappoint on the quirky factor. Models sported nail art that complemented the designer's "track-girl-meets-Romeo-and-Juliet" theme. "It's a very dangerous, lethal person with a feminine, soft side," explained manicurist Wanda Ruiz for CND. To get these ombré-style nails at home, Ruiz recommends you paint the brand's Inkwell or Oil Slick polish as a base, starting from the cuticle and blending out toward the center. Next apply a saturated color, such as Anchor Blue, Green Scene, Rouge Red, or Midnight Sapphire (which are the exact shades featured at the show), and immediately finish with a topcoat to diffuse the colors together. What happens next is up to you.

Tooth "Tattoos" Make a Fashion Statement in Japan

Temporary decals for teeth have been around for a few years now, but leave it to the always avant-garde Japanese fashion industry to make them chic. A recent spread in Ginza magazine shows off cute tooth decals and suggests that fashionistas are matching their nail art with their tooth art, and even their nail shape to their tooth shape. Fashion-forward young women are also matching their lipstick to their tooth decals and designing whole coordinating outfits around the look, whether they're wearing a ladybug decal to a picnic or a little blue anchor to the beach.

Tooth decals from brands like ToothArt already exist here in the US, but they've just never caught on as a high-fashion item. If the haute young ladies of Tokyo have any say, however, they may well become a new thing. Given that grills have enjoyed lasting popularity on our side of the Pacific, it might not be that odd to see tooth decals become a cool accessory, too.

10 Ideas For a Hip, Cliché-Free Beach House

The beauty of having a beach house is that you're not expected to decorate it to the nines, as you would your primary home. You and your guests will be spending most of your time by the water, so as long as you have clean sheets and towels and plenty of sleeping room, you're in the clear. That said, if you decide to spend time, effort, and cash decorating your vacation home, please, please, please don't choose commonplace anchor motifs and a red, white, and blue palette. You can still have a fun, casual, and comfortable beach house without resorting to the look that all of your neighbors likely share. A Sugar Shower to Send LilSugar Off in Style!

Before LilSugar welcomes her third bebe, we decided to throw a fete in her honor. Not wanting to mess with pale pinks and blues, we went for brighter hues to celebrate the sweet mommy. Orange and green were the colors of choice, which proved to be a fan favorite amongst the baby shower revelers. Also a big hit? Rice Krispie Treats on a stick and Arnold Palmers for everyone!

Like previously assembled diaper cakes, I started out with a large base of folded disposable nappies and held it together with a large navy grosgrain ribbon. I did the same for the second layer and tied a green ribbon. For the top layer, I used a vase for the centerpiece instead of the more common candy-filled bottle. I encircled it with the remaining diapers and tied the orange bow around it. Not wanting to get water all over the diapers, I filled the container by ladling cups of water until it was three-quarters full. Then I cut a bunch of peachy roses short and popped them in the vase. With the layers and flowers complete, I placed faux orange and yellow flowers sporadically around the cake anchoring them under the ribbons. A fan of the bubbly, I placed a toy popping champagne bottle front and center. Surely the docs will allow her to open this champers in the maternity ward. One of our ah-mazing teammates took the time to whip up 80 Rice Krispie Treats and wrapped them with coordinating streamers. We draped the room with crepe paper and handed out "Wishes For Baby" that every guest filled out and stuffed into the diaper cake for safe keeping. (You can download a similar version we created for free here!) Though it was a fabulous affair, it has us missing our LilSugar already!
