If you're still debating between choosing a simple or glamorous dress for your special day, I say adorn me - it's a happy medium between the two.

Embellishments have been updated this wedding season with bold focal points and romantic detailing. The old school, glitzy jewel-encrusted bodice has been replaced with a gamut of fresh options ranging from Monique Lhuillier's eye-catching centerpiece (shown left) to delicate pearls. Wedding Trend Alert: Short Stuff

I've said it once and I'll say it again: I would consider a short wedding dress. I'm an unconventional gal and a more cocktail-inspired wedding dress is an idea I've been flirting with since, well, I started bringing you wedding eye candy. Not many women seem to take the plunge and go for the short stuff, however, some of you would consider it. Maybe this adorable retro beauty by Oscar de la Renta can help sway you. Any takers? I do!

2008 Oscars Fashion Preview: Expect Color, Ruffles and Beautiful Beading!

Witnessing the Oscars red carpet is one of my favorite fashion moments all year. We'll have to wait until Sunday to see who wears what, but until then, I've got a sneak peek to hold you over. Oscar fashion coordinator Patty Fox put together an Academy Awards fashion preview, highlighting the vivid colors and sparkling jewels that are expected to rule the red carpet this year.

Partnering with glam Oscar-worthy designers like Giorgio Armani, Valentino, Oscar de la Renta, Elie Saab, and Marchesa, Fox showcased gowns that spoke to the style of past Academy Awards winners: for Charlize Theron, a ruched tangerine Pamella Roland number, for Julia Roberts, a one-shouldered red chiffon Valentino gown, and for Renee Zellweger, a gold strapless Angel Sanchez dress.

Meanwhile, earlier this week I put together my own Oscar red carpet wish list - I'm biased, but I think mine's better!

Negative Yellow Traits: Cowardly, Secretive, Greedy, Judgmental, Skeptical, Absent-minded, Exaggerates, Verbally abusive

Fashion lesson learned: balance yellow out with black, white, khaki neutrals and cool grays!
