I'm moving on. I'll always love animal prints, but who can resist taking it further and wearing your favorite furry friend? The moment I saw this Whitley Kros WK Spring Tank ($176), I melted. It reminded me of one of my favorite snacks: Barnum's Animal Crackers! The silky tank itself is sexy, but the little traveling animals are sweet. No wonder there's only a Medium left, looks like I'm not the only one with animal instincts.

By now, most of you know that in addition to fashion I also love animals. I am, after all, mommy to my Frenchie Annabelle. Imagine taking our favorite animals and pairing them with the industry's hottest models and the world's most sought-after designers. Welcome to the animal hause! I've been noticing many a editorial featuring our furry, and not-so-furry, friends: dogs, monkeys, elephants, cats, cheetahs. Oh, and an eland (a type of antelope) like the one model Behati Prinsloo is battling in April's Harper's Bazaar. Some of these are sexy, some are scary, some serious, and some comical. Welcome to the jungle baby.

I've always had a real talent for likening people to animals so it was only a matter of time until "It" models became my victims. My first prey: Jessica Stam, whose cat-like eyes make her look like she's a part of the feline family (in this case, a lioness). That connection is pretty obvious. Not so obvious, and funny, are my other victims, Shalom Harlow, Coco Rocha, Stella Tennant, Jacquetta Wheeler, and Tanya D. Every couple of years, the fashion world declares that animal prints are "in," and each time, I just can't seem to embrace the look. No matter how pricey the animal prints are, they always end up looking like something you'd wear to a Mississippi casino. One exception: This season's animal-print shoes and handbags from Donald J. Pliner. The designs use leopard and giraffe patterns sparingly and temper them with edgy red and black leather accents for a hip, urban effect.
