It's that time of year… festival season! Over the next few months, hipsters, trendsetters and music-lovers alike will be flocking to various music festivals all over the country. And as a matter of fact, I will be going to Coachella this year! I'm really excited. And to be honest, I cannot wait to dress up like a flower child for three days in a row... While I'm looking forward to the music, the number one thing on my mind right now is fashion. Or more accurately, what I am going to wear.

If you ask me, there are four major must-haves when packing for a fashionable festival getaway: shorts (short skirts can be dangerous), lightweight tops (it's hot), comfortable (but stylish) footwear and a few breezy dresses. Seeing as my team has already shared their expert picks for festival flair, I thought I'd spotlight my wardrobe essentials for the big weekend…

What We're Craving From See by Chloé's Resort Collection

Like an irresistible treat, images from the See by Chloé resort collection landed in our inbox, and we gleefully ate it up. It's playful and feminine, and we have fallen hard for the accessories in particular. Items are just beginning to hit stores this month, so keep an eye out. Here's what we're gleaning from the collection, and what we've got marked for purchase:

Holiday party coming up? The white lace fitted dress ($795) is a dream, as is the bow-topped LBD, and embellished black ankle strap heels.

Denim in new silhouettes is key - we love this flowy denim maxi to wear now with a big sweater, and during warmer months (or a tropical vacation) with a silky tank.

A precious little purse isn't just for kids, and we think this scalloped-edge, chain-link number has just enough girliness to balance out more streamlined, simple outfits.

Silly Injuries That Could Derail Your Fitness

Part of a fit lifestyle, in my opinion, is living life to the fullest. Taking advantage of each moment and doing something fun is just as important for living a fit and healthy lifestyle as a proper fitness routine. Unfortunately, sometimes those two things get in the way of each other, and the most well-lived moments can turn into injuries that can sideline your workout routine. In the spirit of full disclosure, here are a few of the silly injuries I've recently received and a few suggested solutions for averting disaster.

Slave to fashion: Thinking I'd only be out of my Las Vegas hotel room for a few hours (famous last words), I donned a pair of sky-high heels. A few hours turned into many hours, and that turned into an incredibly sore IT band. I'm a runner, so that was not ideal; each step I took during runs for a week reminded me of my five-inch heel mistake.
Solution: When in Vegas, wear heels . . . I get it. But it would have been prudent to stash a pair of those slip-on shoes that take up about the same amount of purse real estate as a compact. Lesson learned. Alternatively? If you're stuck in heels, sit when you can and pay attention to how you're walking. Had I just slowed down and walked properly, I don't think I would have had close to the same problem.
