On Our Radar: Sofia and Francis Ford Coppola for Louis Vuitton

The newest additions to the Louis Vuitton Core Values Campaign, which has featured the likes of Keith Richards, Steffi Graf, and Andre Agassi so far, are Sofia and Francis Ford Coppola.

The father-daughter directing duo recently posed for Annie Leibovitz in Argentina as part of the brand's mission to underscore its historical roots in luggage and travel. I can't wait to see what the finished product looks like; I haven't seen Fabcon Sofia model in a while!

Model Anabela Belikova appears like a wood nymph among the greenery, draped in one of Olivier Theysken's feathery confections. The ambience is ethereal, romantic, and everything that embodies the magical mood of the collection. Are you digging these ads as much as I am?

Lady Dior's Spring '09 ad with Marion Cotillard was so successful, the French actress is back for Fall. But this time around, New York City, not Paris, is the setting. Photographer Annie Leibovitz shot the cinematic image of Marion as "Lady Red," the mirror suggesting a double life. A second scene - Marion getting ready for her close-up as a femme fatale - is slated for later in the season. These ads will debut in August issues and will be plastered around Paris during Fashion Week in October. What are your thoughts on this first one?

Badgley Mischka is celebrating 20 years of decadent design with some of their favorite Hollywood clients. After all, if it weren't for them, the brand wouldn't be as popular as it is today. Shot by Annie Leibovitz, the designing duo enlisted Eva Longoria, Carrie Underwood, Brooke Shields, Lauren Hutton, and Anjelica Huston to pose alongside them in an array of their decadent couture gowns - luckies! “Obviously it shows we believe in glamour more than ever. It’s what we do and what we love to do,” said Badgley.

It may look dingy at first glance, but the dark backdrop in Paramount Studios only brings more attention to the designers' intricate creations. My favorite has to Carrie Underwood in the lovely lavender ruffled frock. "I love Badgley Mischka for not only making the most beautiful gowns, but also for bringing together such strong, amazing women to celebrate 20 years of glamour and fashion," said Underwood. You can't go wrong with beautiful dresses and dazzling stars. I love this, do you?

New York Fashion Week, Fall 2009: Barbie

It's not every fashion show you get to watch the designer watch their garment walk by them on the runway. That was only one of the many fun things about the Barbie runway show. As Bella agreed, the Barbie show was pure eye candy celebrating fashion's most plastic icon. Barbie has a three-year partnership with the CFDA, and is helping to bring you all of my and Bella's FW content, but the show was one of my favorites thus far. Virtually every designer put together something ultra imaginative inspired by the blonde doll. And, the front row was action packed: Heidi Klum, Jonathan Adler and hubbie Simon Doonan, Annie Leibovitz, and participating designers like Diane von Furstenberg, Catherine Malandrino, and Rachel Roy. Roy's black and white sequined bathing suit under a hot trench was one of my favorites, actually.Alas, I had many favorites; the fanciful looks just kept on coming. Here, Alexander Wang went the sexy route, Tuleh went all-American, and Bob Mackie beckoned oohs and aahs. Experiencing this show reminded me I am a Barbie girl in a fashion world.

Fab Flash: Michelle Obama Is Presidential in Pink in Vogue

Michelle Obama knows a thing or two about fashion. Her cover for Vogue, shot by Annie Leibovitz, has just been released, and the results are nothing short of spectacular. The front page features the first lady wearing a presidential pink silk sheath dress by Jason Wu - the same designer who created her divine white inaugural ball gown.

"I love clothes. First and foremost, I wear what I love. That's what women have to focus on: what makes them happy and what makes them feel comfortable and beautiful. If I can have any impact, I want women to feel good about themselves and have fun with fashion," said Michelle Obama.

The First Lady also chose to wear a salmon-themed J.Crew ensemble - one of our favorite brands - and a black and red trimmed Narciso Rodriguez frock for her Vogue spread. Amazing, simply amazing.

Fab Flash: Vogue Wants Michelle Obama

UPDATE: Sources have confirmed that Michelle Obama will appear on the cover of Vogue magazine. Photographer Annie Leibovitz was reportedly spotted leaving the Hay-Adams Hotel, the place where the Obamas stayed before moving into the White House. We're suspecting Michelle will appear in Vogue's hefty March issue . . .

She's not even first lady yet, but Michelle Obama is in high demand. Vogue, who's shown no modesty in their support for Obama, wants to feature Michelle on its front cover. If Michelle accepts, she will be the second first lady to ever grace the cover of its magazine.

“Starting with Eleanor Roosevelt, it’s been a long-standing tradition to photograph the new first lady. So needless to say, we are very interested in working with Mrs. Obama. Precisely how is still being discussed,” said a Vogue spokesman.

The fashionable first lady, seen left in Narciso Rodriguez's red and black confection, would potentially be following in the footsteps of former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, who appeared on the December 1998 issue.
