Art Elysium Red Carpet: Did You Love It or Hate It?

So the Golden Globes were a major downer. As you know, I am an optimist and there is always a red carpet for us to talk about. Such was the case with the The Art of Elysium 10th Anniversary Gala that took place Saturday night. While I'm sure some stars were bummed they didn't get to dress up and parade the Golden Globes red carpet, some shined on a lesser known red carpet. Nonetheless, this is only the beginning of awards season, stay tuned for the SAG Awards and the Grammys. Until then, make sure to vote on the red carpet looks from the Art Elysium gala!

Art Elysium Red Carpet: Ali Larter

Ali Larter is going Grecian here in her drop-waisted toga-esque J. Mendel dress at the Art Elysium Gala. She should have gotten it hemmed so we could see her shoes, and I am not so sure about this color on her, but I do think her hair and makeup is beautifully simple. What do you think?

Kate Walsh's Azzaro draped dress is sophisticated in the front, party in the back. The pewter color looks great on her and the back is damn sexy. Overall: are you feeling it, or is it a little short of breathtaking?

I'm a big fan of red on the red carpet but Amy Smart's ruched, strapless gown feels a bit old. I think she has too good of a body to hide behind all that material. Other than that, she looks classy and pretty. What do you think?

You don't often get to see Ashley on a red carpet, and while she is a Fab favorite, she needs to let go of her outerwear for photo ops. I am totally digging her layered necklaces and funky clutch, but what's going on underneath? Take a layer off Ash. Thoughts?

To make up for the disappointment of no Golden Globes red carpet this time around, the Art Elysium 10th Annual Anniversary Gala provided some red carpet eye candy. Rachel Bilson's white silk Dior by John Galliano gown is simple and glamorous. I especially love the ruched tie-front and her dramatic drop earrings. R-Bils proves that on the red carpet, less can be more. Do you love it or hate it?

This Week's Fab Favorite: Joy Bryant

Wasn't I just fawning over Resort time maxis? It's a combination that won't quit - and continues to impress on the red carpet. Joy brought some much-needed cheer to the Art of Elysium red carpet last weekend. Doesn't look like she's loving it? Joy is becoming quite the Missoni missionary - she wore two Missoni dresses her wedding night - but can you blame her? I've had a longtime love affair with not only Missoni's signature prints, but they're modern silhouettes and jet-set vibe.Joy looks like she just threw on this draped yellow maxi, but she didn't forget some key finishes. Her ivory Bally clutch added structure and her equally yellow David Yurman earrings and bracelet were totally luxe. Per usual, Joy appears fresh faced and natural, what a stunner.

Did You Watch The Rachel Zoe Project?

After an exciting countdown, the season premiere of The Rachel Zoe Project finally took place last night. Did you watch? As the trailers revealed, there was no shortage of insanity.

In a nutshell, Rachel searched far and wide for a red carpet dress for celeb client Joy Bryant, flew to NYC for a business meeting, met up with Michael Kors for brand expanding advice, styled Joy, attended the Art of Elysium Ball, oh and dropped major moolah on a Birkin bag, a Balmain dress, and a Chanel necklace. We also learned a few Zoe-isms - "That's bananas," "I die" and "Shut it down" - which I'm sure we'll be hearing over and over all season. Exciting!
