My upcoming Euro trip prompted me to search for an inexpensive bag I can tote comfortably. I'm stoked I discovered this Deux Lux Drawstring Bucket Bag ($68) because it's two bags in one. It can be worn as a backpack or a shoulder bag, and it looks good both ways. Super. I also love the tassel detail. I'm going for the navy color, but it also comes in black and coral. If you're embarking soon, consider making this bag your travel companion.

Violence was inspired by the produce section today. Her honey crisp - my favorite kind of apple - getup is too cute. Pairing her fruity top with yellow jeans emits an extra summery vibe, kinda like apples and bananas! All of a sudden, I have a craving for fruit salad . . .

Just the other day I was asking if you were still wearing backpacks and the results came up a mixed bag. I've been pondering on whether or not I like this Alexandra Cassaniti Pocket Backpack ($330). The old school shape appeals to me and I like the artistic, paint splattered design. I could see myself taking this out to a nice summertime BBQ.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Backpack: Love It or Hate It?

The first thing that came to mind when I saw this Marc by Marc Jacobs Exclusive Canvas Backpack, $200, is that it looks alien. I guess I'm just used to traditional backpacks, because this one looks foreign and strange. It looks more like a diaper bag than a backpack. Maybe I need to see it on someone to really know how it's supposed to look? What do you all think?

Urban Outfitters is the gift that keeps on giving. First it brought us its snazzy early Fall look book and now is delivering even fresher merchandise for Fall '09. Shall we dive in? This bunch is filled with girlie florals, cropped jackets, studded booties, understated bags, flannel, ripped jeans, and so much more. One of my favorite looks is this print dress with a vest and black hat. It's part folk, part boho, part rock 'n' roll. This colorblock backpack is pretty rad, too.

Look Book Love: Foley + Corinna, Fall '09

Excuse me while I scoop my jaw off the floor. I didn't think I could love Foley + Corinna more than I already do, but my lust just got stronger thanks to its kickass Fall look book. Dana Foley and Anna Corinna dreamt up a collection of handbags made in rich Autumnal hues and buttery soft leather. The convertible bag remains a Fab fave, but this smart sling bag comes in a close second. Isn't it a cool, uptown take on backpacks?
