Back on Track: Grill Veggies For the Week

Summer weather is winding down, so it's time to grill as much as you can before it gets too chilly. Since I don't always have time to light up the grill after work, I like to grill up a bunch of veggies on Sunday so I'll have extra for the week. They taste great on their own, mixed with pasta, as a pizza topping, or in a sandwich.

All you have to do is wash an array of vegetables such as mushrooms, carrots, peppers, eggplant, potatoes, tomatoes, and zucchini. Then slice them so they're still in big chunks since they tend to shrink once they're cooked. Place the veggies in a big bowl and mix them with some olive oil, salt, and pepper. Then pour them into a grill basket and periodically stir them while they cook. After about 40 minutes, you'll have savory, roasted veggies that melt in your mouth. Enjoy some for dinner and store the rest in the fridge in an airtight container.

Jennifer Garner spent a solo afternoon out in LA yesterday, first swinging by Williams-Sonoma and then stopping off for a manicure armed with her iPad. Jennifer left the home-goods store with quite a haul, adding to the loot that she must have received during her birthday bash over the weekend. Jennifer Garner turned 39 on Sunday and her celebrations kicked off on Saturday by having a family dinner with husband Ben Affleck and their girls Violet and Seraphina. They also hosted a barbeque for friends and family on Sunday. Matt Damon brought his daughters Stella and Gia to the bash, along with his wife Luciana, ready to indulge in some of the Southern fare Jen and Ben served at the party.

Charlie Sheen may or may not be off his rocker, but there's one facet of his high-profile life where I do believe he is #winning. Sheen just scooped up a 9,020-square-foot, six-bedroom, eight-bath manse in the prestigious gated community of Mulholland Estates in Sherman Oaks, CA for $7.5 million, and it is a beauty.
