Pick up the November issue of Harper's Bazaar and you'll soon realize that one of the greatest fashion magazines, started in 1867, is celebrating it's big 1-4-0! In a world so fickle, lasting that long in any industry is not easy. So let's put our hands together, clear our throats, and sing one of our favorite mags a happy birthday.

In celebration, this month's issue features quotes from the most influential designers today. They were asked former Bazaar columnist Diana Vreeland's famous question, "Why don't you?" and here's what some had to say...

Gwyneth Paltrow's Family Dinner and Bath Time

A family that bathes together stays together? I was so mesmerized by the images of an immaculately toned and coiffed Gwyneth Paltrow on the cover of Harper's Bazaar this week that I barely noticed her quotes about family life inside the Paltrow-Martin household in London. Within the article, the mom-of-two describes her family's evening routine and it seems that many mamas are taking issue with it. According to the magazine:

But it's Gwyneth who gives the children their bath-"we all get into the tub together"-and she's the one who cooks dinner for them before Apple and Moses go to bed at 8:00. It's a family dinner, unless she goes out with Chris to eat at her favorite Japanese restaurants in London or for seafood at the members-only Arts Club.

The issue is not that Gwyneth actually cooks her kids meals, but that she and the kids - Apple, 7, and Moses, 5 - all bathe together. There's no clear-cut answer as to when parents should stop bathing with their kids, or even when they should cover up in front of them. Tori Spelling recently wondered aloud if she needed to stop changing in front of her kids after her son commented on her rear end.

Gwyneth Paltrow Reveals Her Secret to a Happy Marriage in Harper's Bazaar

Gwyneth Paltrow shows off her amazing frame on the cover of - and inside - the March 2012 issue of Harper's Bazzar, which will be available on newsstands Feb. 14. For the cover of the magazine, she was decked out in a deep-V jumpsuit. For the accompanying photo spread lensed by Terry Richardson, she wore dark gowns from Anthony Vaccarello, Alexander McQueen, and more. Gwyneth got candid in her interview, making rare comments about her life with husband Chris Martin. She spoke about his being "communicative" and a hands-on dad, even revealing her family secret to maintaining a long marriage. Here's more from Gwyneth Paltrow in Harper's Bazaar:

On her husband Chris Martin: "He’s very communicative, which is rare for a British man . . . If I’m in L.A. for three days working, then my husband does the school run; it’s always one of us."
On her marriage: "I have little kids in school. I want to maintain my marriage and my family, so I have to be here when he comes home."
On her father's advice for a good marriage: "My parents were married for 30-something years, and he said [it was] because they never wanted to get divorced at the same time . . . I think you do fall in and out of love and you just keep going, and every time you go through a really difficult phase, you rediscover something new and it just gets better. We’ve been married for more than eight years now, and we’re still into it."

Beyoncé Reveals Plans to Launch Maternity Line

We bet there'll be sequins! Beyoncé will soon join the ranks of the world's most fashionable women who've tried their hand at designing maternity clothes once they found themselves in a pregnant way. In an interview with Bazaar, Beyoncé revealed that she's working on a maternity line for the House of Deréon line she and her mom design. She told the magazine that, "I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant. Flowy fabrics are always flattering . . . but I still rock my stilettos."

Beyoncé isn't Tinseltown's first expectant mama to think about what pregnant women want to wear - both Nicole Richie and Heidi Klum have designed maternity collections while pregnant, with Klum's clothes still being sold at Destination Maternity stores. This time, though, it's probably safe to say that the clothes will have more sequins and sparkle, given Beyoncé's signature look. Miranda Kerr Rocks Her Bikini Top, and Less, For Harper's Bazaar Australia

Miranda Kerr covers Harper's Bazaar Australia's November issue with the eye-catching headline, "Here's to You Mrs. Bloom." Inside the magazine, Miranda wears a variety of outfits, including a bathing suit, bikinis, and, in one photo, just a towel draped around her head! The supermodel isn't shy about showing skin in publications, and she recently had to don a variety of ensembles, both minimal and well-covering, during Paris Fashion Week. Her young son, Flynn Bloom, was in Paris while she walked in shows ranging from Dior to Chanel, and Orlando Bloom's own stay was cut short when he had to go to London to do press for The Three Musketeers. On top of all the modeling, there is still time for Miranda to write her Kora Organics blog. Her latest post is a tribute to the late Steve Jobs. She wrote, "There are people in this world who have a huge impact on the lives of others. Steve Jobs was one of them. His vision, passion, and dedication serves as a great reminder as to what is possible when we choose to believe. May you rest in peace Mr. Jobs, you changed our world in the most incredible way."

Kate Winslet and Gwen Stefani Cook Up a Night Out in London

Kate Winslet and Gwen Stefani helped launch chef Giorgio Locatelli's new book, Made in Sicily, at the Locanda Locatelli restaurant in London this evening. Gwen, who celebrated a relatively low-key 42nd birthday yesterday, rocked a high-volume blowout as she and Kate posed for pictures with Giorgio and his wife. Kate was equally glammed up in a black minidress and jacket for the evening. The recent Emmy-winning actress made her way back to England following two appearances in Shanghai last week. Kate is a Longines "ambassador of elegance," and was in China to promote the watch company's wares. She's also in the midst of promoting Contagion, which is rolling out to international theaters. Kate is on the cover of Harper's Bazaar UK's November issue and spoke candidly about her divorce from Sam Mendes in the pages of the magazine, saying she refuses to speak negatively about him and that the breakup has been "equally hard" on them both.

Kate Winslet covers Harper's Bazaar UK's November issue and posed for a sultry spread inside the magazine. The actress sported lingerie-inspired looks and a dramatic cat eye for the steamy shoot. Kate, who appears in the glossy to promote the international release of Contagion, also opened up about her personal life in her interview. Kate split from director Sam Mendes last year, and the Emmy-winning star said their separation has been tough, but amicable. She also reflected on the next phase of her life and career and single motherhood in the issue, which hits stands on Thursday, Oct. 6. Here are some highlights:

On her split from Sam: “One thing I will say about me and Sam is that it’s fine, it’s really fine. I’m not going to shit-fling, there’s no point in even going there. It is what it is... We’re grown-ups at the end of the day, and however hard it’s been for me, it’s been equally hard for him. And we have a child together who we both love - and raising him together, jointly and without any conflict, is absolutely key. It’s the only way to do it, and I’ve really learnt that with Mia.”
On families today: "Those days of every child having a mummy and daddy who lived at home - Daddy went to work, and Mummy stayed at home and took care of everyone - those days have almost gone, and it’s so much more unconventional now.”
On what's next for her: "I feel that I’m just at the beginning of a new narrative, and it’s incredibly exciting. It’s complicated, I know, and uncertain - but it’s where life happens, between the cracks. It can be a painful process, but I truly hope that never stops for me.”
