I never considered wearing a beaded rope necklace until I came across one in the jewelry sale section at Macy's. I mean, for $6, I couldn't refuse. Although I bought it to use mainly as a bracelet, it evolved into a necklace at a recent event. These Appartement a Louer Beaded Rope Necklaces ($175 each), similar to mine, are really nice, but not worth the money.

read more. Now, $27 is much more like it. These Ravin Gems Beaded Link Necklaces ($27 each) are very similar to the one I have. Throw them on over a T-shirt for instant coolness. But wait, there's an even cheaper one . . .
Though slightly shorter, this Target Oversize Seed-Bead Link Necklace ($18) is still really awesome and good for those who don't like long necklaces. Take your pick and chain yourself.

Hot mama Halle Berry visited the dentist's office in a casual, clean ensemble. I can just envision her effortlessly throwing on her Inhabit cowl-neck linen dress over a gray camisole, adding a long beaded necklace, and beaded T-strap sandals. To tie a nice bow around the look, Halle incorporated beaded bracelets, her Tom Ford sunnies, and favorite Versace bag. Au natural with a pinch of glamour.

Coco Rocha Designs Jewelry For a Good Cause

There's nothing we like more than fashion for a cause, and our latest find comes from Coco Rocha. The model-cum-TV personality just launched a charity jewelry collection with Senhoa, an organization that helps Cambodian victims of human trafficking. “They asked if I wanted to partner up with them to do a jewelry line. I designed it and the girls make it, and the proceeds go to the girls,” said Rocha. All of the jewelry from the Coco Rocha for Senhoa collection is made by hand at Senhoa using Swarovski-colored beads and chain links. The seven-style collection is now available at Senhoa and ranges from $60 to $195, with one ultraglamorous body piece that costs for $995. Sophie Albou showed off a spirited Spring 2012 collection for Paul & Joe highlighting a mix of utilitarian and ethnic influences. While we're used to seeing one or the other, Albou was able to meld the two trends together pairing vibrant printed maxiskirts with silk button-up shirts, patent double-breasted blazers with tribal print bikini bottoms, and utility pants with sexy metallic knits. White fringed dresses and ponchos added a bohemian touch to the collection, while printed overalls provided the whimsy Albou is known for. Pippa Middleton was front and center at Temperley London's Spring 2012 show. No wonder, as the Middleton sister is responsible for starting one of the year's biggest gown crazes when she attended the royal wedding reception in an emerald green Temperley gown. The collection was an elegant, silky nod to the '70s, with slinky camisole-like gowns, high-waist tap pants, and head scarves.

Lulu Frost Spring 2012

Lulu Frost's Spring '12 presentation was a beach-inspired oasis complete with models relaxing on lounge chairs and slick surfboards - painted by Sam Brigham - hanging from the ceiling. The whimsical line, which was inspired by Lisa Salzer's childhood days spent on the beaches of Montauk and the classic '60s surf flick, Endless Summer, highlighted natural, natural stones juxtaposed with a series of modern twists. Raw stripes of suede were intertwined in chain bracelets, oversized raw-cute stones were paired with gold spikes, and hand-shaped brass beads were adhered to angular bangles. Salzer also showed an amazing array of ornate ankle bracelets, some of which were connected to a toe ring and others that wrapped all the way up to the knee. Pretty awesome.
