Anna Wintour's daughter was fit to be a princess in a voluminous purple organza gown by Nina Ricci at the Met's Costume Institute Gala. I wonder if that guy in the pic (below) was following her around all night helping to adjust her dress - ha! I love the grandiose dress, do you?

Who Is the Best Dressed Mother/Daughter Combo?

Oh mommy dearest - I once shunned your fashion advice, but now I regularly seek it. As a young lassie, I assumed you knew little about style, but now I realize I learned much of what I know from you. If my endless shopping excursions with mom have helped my personal style and wardrobe, imagine what the splurge-fests for the daughters of Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld (Editor of Vogue Paris), Danielle Steel, and Demi Moore have done for them! It's obvious Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Bee Shaffer (Anna's daughter), Rumer Willis, and the Traina sisters (Danielle's kids) have oodles of expensive closets to choose from . . . but it all comes down to personal style. For me, Carine and Julia stand out because of their effortlessly cool Euro vibe. Who is the best dressed mother/daughter combo to you?

A big Happy Mother's Day to all you stylish moms and moms-to-be out there! And a super big one to my mommie. Some of us may have been very fashion influenced by our moms, and some of us not, either way, we love and appreciate you just the same! Oh, and some of us may really appreciate a mommie with a superb jewelry collection she is always willing to share (wink). Fab Flash: Vogue's First Film

If you've ever wondered what really goes on behind the doors at Vogue, your curiosity can soon be quenched. After eight months of open access to Anna Wintour and her team, film director R.J. Cutler will debut his chronicle, The September Issue, this weekend at the Sundance Film Festival. “My observation with the creativity in the hallways and offices is that Vogue is like the mist. You don’t think it’s raining and all of a sudden you’re soaking wet,” Cutler said.

The movie centers around the creation of Vogue's biggest issue - September 2007 - which Cutler credits as Wintour's idea. Cutler also follows Wintour's personal relationships with her late father Charles Wintour and daughter Bee Shaffer. Guest appearances include Thakoon Panichgul, Oscar de la Renta, and Karl Lagerfeld.
