The Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue models know — having too many swimsuits is never a bad thing. I'll add to that, especially if you live in the water during summertime like I do. Personally, I tend to veer toward bandeau-style bikinis because they're sporty chic, comfortable, and don't cause tan lines.

A gal can never have too many dresses. That's my motto and I'm sticking to it. After all, they're easy, breezy, and give you instant polish.

Fun Fab fact: I wrote my high school senior paper on graffiti art. I was obsessed with taggers, break dancers, Beat Street, Style Wars — everything old school. I still find the roots of the hip-hop underworld to be fascinating, even if I don't dress like a boy anymore.

Though I will be blowing my life savings on Matthew Williamson's collection for H&M, there are a few other things I am lusting for. Top of mind is my surf trip to Costa Rica later this month, so you will find a dope pair of workout pants, some beachy items, and a hot little bikini. Alas, city life until then, so some sophisticated items are musts, too.

Fringe sista, check out this cool Torn by Ronny Kobo Maggie Suede Fringe Vest ($308). It's undeniably bohemian chic, and I know you dig the slate blue hue. The only thing not to love is the expensive price, but no worries .

Whether you're a part of the surf culture, or just like to admire the boys, there is no look cooler than the beachy, fun-loving surfer girl. She can both ride epic waves and look hot while doing it. Clothes that look fresh and serve a function are key.
