Birdie designer Kate Sutton has been a golfer since the age of 12, but it was only as of the launch of her golf-inspired clothing line in 2006 that she started to really look feminine, fashionable and sexy on and off the driving range. Thanks to Kate's frustration with masculine and unflattering women's golf gear, we can all get a little preppy even if we can't swing a golf club for the life of us.

Kate set out to shake up tradition and she did just that with her colorful polos, femme sweaters, short pleated skirts, fitted blazers, Bermuda shorts, modern golf caps (so much hotter than the one your dad sports), and bags.

So even if you don't know the difference between a birdie and a bogey (it's okay, neither do I), check out the Birdie collection, and who knows, maybe it'll inspire you to get yourself to a green.

Catherine Malandrino is my go-to for unique, feminine cuts, and now that her revamped site is up and running, I can enjoy checking out her goods from the comforts of my own couch - sweet! Her new site, CatherineMalandrino.com, is complete with tons of features: online shopping, runway shows, inspiration boards, video clips, and even a radio playing her favorite tunes. As a longtime admirer of Malandrino, I was awestruck with her artistic inspiration board. In fact, a little birdie told me she'll be online Aug. 20 - I'll be there.

Are you a swinger? Not the naughty kind of swinger, that's more DearSugar territory, I'm talking a lover of fun, feminine swingy tops. I showed you some trapeze dresses a while ago and these are a safer - and more versatile - version. You can wear them with a pair of skinnies, some cuffed shorts, and especially with cropped jeans for a retro Bye Bye Birdie look. Some of you may think they make you look preggs but that's the look right now so I take it as a fashion blessing because you don't have to suck in your gut all the live long day!

Here is a fashion tribute to the tidey whitey. While lingerie brands such as Agent Provocateur have the racy lingerie genre covered, whatever happened to the simplicity of a sweet, white cover up? We've seen them throughout history - from Janet Leigh in 'Bye Bye Birdie' to Sigourney Weaver's eerie exposé scene in 'Alien' to Calvin Klein's infamous underwear ads. No doubt the tighty whitey is a classic, maybe it's just taking a hiatus.

Shopbop has this Juicy Couture version for $425.

Target has this Alabaster Belted Trench for $14.99. Unfortunately, it seems to be currently out of stock, but at that price, it's not surprising. Perhaps they'll be in stock again soon?

This eBay find is a Gap version with a Buy It Now price of $50. It's not the same crisp white color, but it does have similar styling.

Can anyone else out there find a good alternative?
