Fab Finding Follow-Up: Black Tie Wedding Bells

Last week I told you a co-worker has a black tie wedding to attend in February and needs our help. She's having a hard time finding a long dress that's flattering on her petite frame. My advice was to find something form-fitting. Oh, and no crazy colors, cuts, or jewels please. She's a simple gal.

Black tie weddings are so much fun. It's a Fab chance to get fancied up and walk arm in arm with a man in a tux. Sexy! Date or not, it's imperative that you dress the part. Black tie weddings call for long gowns or dressy separates. Think of it as getting dolled up for the Oscars . . . minus the red carpet and the mini gold man. And the celebs!

What To Wear To A Black Tie Wedding

The rules on what to wear to weddings are totally confusing these days, but through the years, one rule has always remained in tact - If it's a black tie affair, then a floor length gown is appropriate. Think Oscar flair and perfect hair. Oooh, but never wear white...you knew that already, right?

Bust out your fancy jewels, embellished high heels and the Chanel red lipstick that's been waiting to be shown off. It doesn't get any more formal than this. Here are some of my personal favorite celebrity black tie looks:

I want to take it home with me so badly! It would be so fun at a black-tie wedding. What has made me fall in love? Why, the unique combo of the bubble skirt, large circle sequins and pockets of course!
