Fab reader Dadouchic rocked a black-and-white outfit that instantly reminded us of a perfectly chic interpretation of Karl Lagerfeld's monochromatic style. Her fitted faux leather pants provided a slick edge while her sweet white blouse, complete with Peter Pan collar, softened up the overall feel. She took care to spice up her silhouette with gilded embellishments (read: a super sparkly gold clutch and gold-accented white ankle-strap heels) and emerald statement earrings. It goes without saying that this sleek look would fit right into the Fashion Week mix - you may just find us sporting something similar at a show very soon.

Michelle Williams's Gorgeous BAFTA Dress Is . . . H&M!

The art of a well-executed surprise never goes unappreciated, and this one is too good not to admire. Case in point: Michelle Williams stunned at the BAFTA awards in a bespoke black-and-ivory H&M gown. Believe it. At first glance we assumed the consummately chic actress had opted for Chanel or Prada, but it looks like we've been treated to something totally new and unexpected. She complemented her strapless, boutonniere-adorned gown with a quirky faux Arthur Miller novel-cum-Olympia Le-Tan clutch and a statement collar necklace. Good news for anyone that can't get enough of this dress: a gold top ($40) and black skirt ($30) inspired by her gown will be available in select H&M stores in April, as part of the launch of the brand's exclusive Conscious collection. While we wait to get out hands on Michelle's sweet, simple evening ensemble, the real question remains - would you have ever guessed that this two-toned number was a custom H&M creation?

Zac Posen drew influence from the Far East for Fall '12, showing off gorgeous dresses and gowns punctuated with Asian-inspired details. Specifically, it was about Chinoiserie and Japanese influences; fitted sheaths, gowns, and skirt suits were embellished with origami pleating, kimono sleeves, and obi sashes. Meanwhile, Chinese-inspired heavy silk floral patterns were used to create fitted sheath dresses and evening jackets. The main attraction of the evening was Zac's red carpet-worthy evening dresses. There were dramatic fitted mermaid gowns with seamed details and more pared down renditions, made in dove gray and light blush hues featuring intricate origami detailing on the back. The only question that remains is which red-carpet beauty will pick up one of Posen's creations for the Oscars?

DKNY Fall 2012

Dedicated to the Beat Generation, DKNY Fall 2012 showed a collection filled with strong silhouettes, pretty details, and even some shearling and fur. Designed with a city girl in mind, these seemed dedicated to the working city girl - skirt and jacket looks were belted for a crisp look, and coats were edged in leather. Ashley Greene, Nina Dobrev, and Coco Rocha were seated in the front row, watching the models come in literally off the street - the show was sat in a cavernous garage-like space with double-doors that opened out onto the sidewalk, allowing the models to walk in. Minus the fact that it was freezing out, it made for an energetic show.

Designers have been sticking to a more neutral palette for Winter but not Diane von Furstenberg and Yvan Mispelaere. Showing to a celebrity-filled crowd at Lincoln Center - we spotted Solange, Molly Sims, Coco Rocha, and Barbara Walters in the crowd - the duo filled the runway with gorgeous color combos in every jewel tone imaginable. The theme of the collection was "rendezvous," further explained in the show notes as "glamorous at a moment's notice." The outcome was sexy, effortless French-inspired dressing in the way of formfitting wool jersey dresses, wrap skirts, office-appropriate separates, and drapey asymmetric jumpsuits. A pink rendition of the latter, paired with an oversized dark burgundy coat, was one of the highlights of the collection. Whimsical prints - puzzle pieces, quotation marks, and keyholes, were splayed across an array of wrap skirts, oversized coats, and blouses, emoting a sense of mysterious quirk.
