Classic, impeccably chic, it was a no-brainer when these Christian Louboutin Pigalle Patent-Leather Flats ($575) caught my eye. The perfect pair for almost any occasion - and a must have for any girl's wardrobe. But, even after I counted all the pros of this pretty pair, I couldn't justify dropping that kind of cash.

By combining two of the season's slickest styles, Fab reader Stylesbyassitan nailed the cool-girl look with a shiny-cum-sporty twist. First, she paired her silver metallic skinny jeans with a red knit topper. Then she added an athletic accent via her retro, two-toned varsity jacket. For the outfit finale, she donned black pointy-toed pumps and toted a boxy, black patent-leather bag. It's a no-frills look with a lot of street cred.

In Fab reader Simmysashi's case, all it took was a pair of slick pumps and a trench vest add-on to dress up a pair of slouchy cuffed jeans. Marni designer Consuelo Castiglioni showed a world of colorblock, structured silhouettes, and small-scale prints for Fall 2012. '60s mod styling got a dose of Eastern influence on the runway - models were clad in bright shift dresses, trousers, and skirt suits, almost always topped with a boxy coat and cinched at the waist with wide leather belts. The designer also offered up slick coats in luxe exotic looks like python, patent leather, and plaid-print furs, which proved visually stunning alongside head-to-toe black and gold jacquard and floral-print ensembles. Hopefully, you haven't tired of the hosiery trend yet; white tights were layered under each look (even pants), then finished with Kabuki-style platform Mary Janes for a vaguely Oriental feel.
