Classic, impeccably chic, it was a no-brainer when these Christian Louboutin Pigalle Patent-Leather Flats ($575) caught my eye. The perfect pair for almost any occasion - and a must have for any girl's wardrobe. But, even after I counted all the pros of this pretty pair, I couldn't justify dropping that kind of cash.

Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2012

Tommy Hilfiger set the mood for his collection this evening at the Park Avenue Armory creating an Autumnal park paradise complete with wooden benches, pretty Fall trees, The Beatles playing in the backdrop, and even gravel to sink our booties into. As expected, the designer showcased his classic American style, but this time, interjected a completely modern spin to his mix via silk cable-knit printed dresses, luxe leather riding pants, and plenty of Glen plaid suits to go around. The classic pea coat was treated with a brilliant patent finish and trench coats received a smart colorblock detail on the sleeves. There were also plenty of quilted pieces, suede shirtdresses, A-line skirts, and tailored hunting jackets emoted a regal equestrian feel. Hilfiger exemplified the perfect mix of old and new - and we're loving every bit of it.

Trends: Plaid, patent leather, wrap skirts, military, quilting.
Colors: Olive green, brown, burgundy, black, purple, mustard yellow.
Key Piece: We loved Hilfiger's silk cable-knit printed dresses.
Accessories: Knee-high boots, quilted messenger bags, pony hair bags, equestrian riding hats.
Who Would Wear It: Girls who crave classic style with a twist like front row attendee Charlize Theron. We can also see Reese Witherspoon and Cate Blanchett in some of these pieces.

Thakoon Fall 2012

With rouge lips and heels to echo his bold red leather and pink color pairings, Thakoon honed in on a dramatic palette and rich detail to deliver a feminine Fall '12. We expect Thakoon Panichgul to veer toward the ethnically themed; this time, he steered clear of more exotic references to focus on a re-imagining of ladylike charm. Demure silhouettes were manipulated in patent, colored leather, ruching, and covered in rich hues of Mongolian fur to ensure that every look fell outside the boundaries of "pretty" dressing. There's quirk and humor in every take - a playful pop of print on the collar of a camel coat or a fuchsia fuzzy to complete a sweetheart-take on colorblocking. But if you don't subscribe to the girly-girl look, Thakoon's Fall is not also without sexier side; whether it's an overt nod to sex appeal with a black patent dress or a subtler play in a slinky black halter, there's a sense of womanly dressing even in all his girlish references.

Colors: Red, fuchsia, gray, camel, black.

Altuzarra Fall 2012

Just when we thought we couldn't swoon any more over Joseph Altuzarra's creations, the designer sent us on a dizzying trip around the world via brightly hued Moroccan-chic knitwear, chunky fringe, plush shearling, and quirky coin embellishments. From 1940s Parisian silhouettes to ultra-tailored naval coats and equestrian-inspired jodhpurs, to the whimsical markings of a visit to a Marrakesh marketplace, this collection was all about mixing it up. The result? A sultry blend of super-structured jackets, pants, and fur-lined outerwear paired perfectly with eclectic fringe-laden skirts, Indian-braid schoolboy sweaters, and coin-infused cocktail dresses. Slick, tasseled, patent-leather ankle boots and knee-high riding boots completed each look - a fitting accessorized finish for the well-traveled style setter who knows where she's going next.

Trends: Global traveler, fringe, coin embellishments, equestrian-inspired silhouettes, fur-trimmed collars, quirky updates on the Fair Isle print.
Colors: Earthy brown, black, navy, ivory, gold, and bright pops of Moroccan oranges and reds.
Key Piece: The vibrant coin-sashed orange dress embodied Altuzarra's worldly take on his Fall '12 lineup.

Jill Stuart Fall 2012

Jill Stuart's feminine interpretation of Fall was a botanical experience blooming with florals in all shapes and sizes. The show, attended by stylish celebs like Olivia Palermo and Nikki Reed, highlighted the designer's unapologetic feminine flair, with pretty party dresses - the floral dresses with the delicate lace detailing and Peter Pan-collared little black dresses were the highlights of the show - and luxe ladylike outerwear. Adding a modern effect were leather touches throughout; pencil skirts featured leather panels and coats were trimmed with thin leather piping. The latter showed an outstanding leather-trimmed navy coat paired with trousers, floral top, and fur collar. We can already see the front-row celeb attendees checking off their wish list . . . The East and West collided together at Jen Kao's Fall showing, resulting in an unapologetic mashup of sexy fringe, baseball caps, and ombré lace dresses. While it might sound a little disjointed, Kao managed to pull it all together creating a carefree attitude with her mixed bag of offerings. Printed floral dresses were decorated with fringe, pleated leather and silk maxi dresses were styled with baseball caps, and crochet dresses were layered over silk printed tops. The results? A rebellious kind of beauty any cool girl - like front-row attendee Zoe Kravitz - would love to wear on any given day.
