Freaky or Fabulous: Super Sparkly Bodysuit a la McQueen

Is there such a thing as sparkle overkill? Nah. The fact that sequins, beads, rhinestones, crystals, and all that glitters have not left fashion for years is a testament to that. Sure, in small doses it can be sweet and pretty, but that's not how Alexander McQueen rolls. Check his bronze jewel-encrusted bodysuit as seen on Abbey Lee Kershaw in Vogue Italia. Fits like a dipped-in-gold glove - head to toe and spiked heel. Her platinum locks further illuminate the scene. If I were sporting this super sparkly bodysuit I'd be hitting the town. I'm like a moth to a flame, but you tell me: freaky or Fab?

Nouey80 whipped up a fantastic outfit inspired by Dolce & Gabbana's Spring '10 collection. Doesn't she look amazing? I like how she styled her wild rose print skirt with a silky red leopard bodysuit. It's mismatched and marvelous.

Cynthia Rowley Surfs With Roxy

Suddenly, Cynthia Rowley seems that much cooler. An avid surfer, she is teaming up with Roxy for a collection named Cynthia Rowley for Roxy. The first collection will launch exclusively at Barneys New York and at Colette in Paris in March. But don't fret beach dwellers: it will also be available in Roxy stores and in Cynthia Rowley boutiques worldwide. The whole Rowley clan hits breaks: "My family and I surf a lot. Just about every weekend in the Summer, we go to Montauk, and in the winter we go to the Dominican Republic for long weekends. I love that we have this family activity that we all really enjoy.”

Partnering with an outside designer to create an apparel collection is a first for Roxy. But the masterminds behind the lifestyle brand know to keep up with the Jones, “Our mission at Roxy has always been to have one foot in the surf world and another foot in the fashion world,” said Randy Hild, executive vice president of marketing at Roxy. Down to the sandy details! Expect Rowley-inspired wetsuits, boards shorts, shorts, tees, dress, swimwear, and accessories. Neoprene headbands? Right on. And, keeping with the affordable Roxy price point, the collection will be priced from $18 wholesale for a printed scarf to $89 wholesale for a long-sleeve bodysuit. Shaka.

In this Halloween-inspired edition of French Revue de Modes, Ali Stephens shows off her fashionable crime-fighting abilities in a black and white editorial shot by Thierry Le Goues. With a hunky Batman by her side, Ali tackled the streets in an array of leopard print bodysuits, checkered frocks, avant-garde coats, and ornate LBDs. Of course, every sexy superhero needs thigh-high leather boots, statement belts, and slick leather gloves to complete the look. Oh, did you notice how Ali's big wavy hair and thick eyeliner is reminiscent of Lynda Carter in Wonder Woman? So rad. If only I could look this good on Halloween . . . Source

Who can forget Jennifer Beals's sexy moves in '80s cult classic Flashdance - remember that water scene? Sizzle. She alone might have been responsible for the flurry of females dashing to get themselves an oversize sweatshirt and leggings - I know I sure did. Hone in her ultra-old-school vibe with the right accessories: red pointy-toe heels, a bodysuit, leg warmers, dangly earrings, and a permed '80s hairdo. What a feeling!

Showing off her posing prowess, the model donned an assortment of scintillating dark separates comprised of sleek bodysuits, fur coats, LBDs, and bustiers. The selection of animal print buckled booties, suede wedges, and towering heels are downright savage. How hot is her blond blowout and smoky eye makeup? Peep the accessories; fishnet tights add a sexy touch, while studded chunky metal bangles and studded necklaces inject a don't-mess-with-me attitude.

2010 Spring New York Fashion Week: Brian Reyes

Brian Reyes is a quiet force and I think we just witnessed his best collection yet. Stay tuned for an exclusive interview with stylist to Rachel Bilson and Kristen Bell, Nicole Chavez, who I chatted with preshow, but for now, feast. The Spring wears flowed like a Muse song - some soft and feminine, some powerful and dead chic.The show opened with a white Japanese cotton bodysuit, followed by a delicate harness dress, placket shirt, and car coat in the breezy fabric. These were accompanied by frilly denim and a bold sepia print bodysuit. Brian is known for his unique prints; the skeletal print was a dark surprise. Other eye catchers include the black embroidery - I'm sure Carine Roitfeld, front row, coral nail polish - appreciated this, an adorable aqua shagreen print silk dress (pictured), and the bleeding-heart print. Front row and center was Reyes's number-one celebrity fan, Rachel Bilson, and Becki Newton - double cuteness.
