More models are engaged and married than you think. Some are with equally (if not more) famous partners, while others are with relatively unknowns. Either way, the significant others are the ones who motivate and morally support of our favorite models. Let's play first lady of France dressup. Carla looks every bit the part after a visit to the Met in New York - Bentley in tow. I wish I could browse endless walls of art wearing an origami folded neck skirt suit, Tod's flats, and a perfect little Dior bag. Carla proves you can still look buttoned-up and sophisticated in flats (sigh). This is a great work or interview look so pay attention to this first lady.

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Goes Antianimal, Hermes Goes Pro

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has the pick of the litter when it comes to wearing sumptuous designer creations but her selection might be a little more limited now that she's vowed to be more animal friendly. "I do not wear, buy, or own fur or animal skin other than leather or skin of animals raised for feeding purposes. I am not a vegetarian and I don't find it illogical to wear skins of animals whose meat is also eaten." said Bruni-Sarkozy in a recent letter to PETA. Will Carla inspire others to do the same?

Meanwhile, Hermes has just announced it will start breeding its own crocodiles to keep up with the high demand for its iconic handbags. Despite the recession, Hermes produces 3,000 crocodile bags a year, which is not enough for the crazy waiting list - often several years long - of customers. "We cannot face demand. We have massive overdemand. The world is not full of crocodiles." said Hermes chief executive, Patrick Thomas.

Certainly two different views on using animals for fashion. Are you on team Carla or team Hermes?

Vanity Fair's 2009 International Best-Dressed list has been released, and it includes actors, models, designers, politicians, royalty, and socialites. The ones who made the cut need not have one particular fashion forte - they only need perennial style. Representing Hollywood are red-carpet queens Penelope Cruz, Anne Hathaway, Reneé Zellweger, Kelly Ripa, and Alicia Keys. Angelina Jolie didn't make the list but her man Brad Pitt did. And rightfully so! Our favorite Power Couple Natalia Vodianova and her hubby Justin Portman made it on as a couple, while Rachel Roy and Tory Burch got on solo.
