On Our Radar: John Galliano and Diesel Team Up for Children's Wear

He's creative director of Dior, at the helm of his own eponymous Galliano collection, and now John Galliano is joining with Diesel to bring children's wear to the mix.

Aimed at girls and boys ages 4 to 14, the line, which is still unnamed, is expected to launch January in Italy, France, the U.K., Russia, the U.S., Japan, and Eastern Europe. As Diesel chief Renzo Rosso told WWD, "Galliano likes to play and create fairy-tale worlds even for adults. Imagine what he can do for kids." Imagine the possibilities, my friends, and it will be worth the wait!

The Vampire Diaries "Dangerous Liaisons": The Good, The Bad, and The Bloody

The original vampire family hosts a ball on this week's episode of The Vampire Diaries, and the whole town puts on their finest formal wear for the event of the supernatural season. Elena has two dates to the event, but it's her date to meet the original witch that gives us insight into what's in store for Klaus and his siblings.

Speaking of Klaus, we get some developments between him and Caroline that are sweet and promising (even if she's a bit cautious to date him because of his cruelty in the past and general bloodlust). What to Expect When You're Expecting Set Visit: Elizabeth Banks on Her Fake Bump and Personal Baby Joy

Some of the biggest names in Hollywood will share the big screen in the upcoming comedy What to Expect When You're Expecting, which follows different mothers-to-be as they prepare for the arrivals of their bundles of joy. Cameron Diaz, Brooklyn Decker, Anna Kendrick, and Elizabeth Banks are among the famous ladies who strapped on fake baby bumps to portray different kinds of pregnant women, and Banks's character, Wendy, doesn't exactly have an easy time of it.

I visited the Atlanta set of the film last year, where Banks was shooting a climactic scene in which her character addresses all the woes of pregnancy - in an auditorium with a rather large audience. The hilarious meltdown, which you can see in the opening of the trailer for What to Expect When You're Expecting, includes harsh truths like "I'm calling it: pregnancy sucks." It was great fun to see Banks film the passionate speech again and again, especially since the funny lady mixed up her one-liners from one take to another. What was even more interesting was seeing all of the extras who played the audience members, since the group of women was a mix of actual pregnant women and women rocking fake baby bumps.

I chatted with Banks about her own experience filming the movie, and she revealed that she actually felt like she was in her own little movie, since she doesn't have much screen time with her costars. Banks was refreshingly honest about not having any parenting tips and also admitted that though welcoming her son, Felix, has brought her a great deal of joy, it hasn't changed her stance on how she feels about kids in general. Here's more of what Banks had to say about pregnancy and motherhood:

What inspired you to take this role?
Elizabeth Banks: I cried when I read the script. It has a really great ending: at the end of the movie, everybody has a baby! It really is just a very relatable story for everyone: anybody who is a parent, has considered being a parent, has a baby, whatever. It's just very universal, what happens in the film. We really explore so many great storylines and different paths to getting a child. I had a unique path to getting my son, so I understand how everybody's path to their child is different.

How does it feel to wear the bump?
EB: It's sweaty! [Laughs] I think it's probably a decent approximation; it weighs a good 10 lbs. The boobs weigh about 6 lbs. They are really unbelievable. It's fun. It definitely makes you sit and walk in a totally different way. As an actor, it's a great prop.

How did you change when you became a mom?
EB: I get drunk much faster and easier, and it's a big problem, so I can't go out very much. I find that I underestimated the amount of joy. I'm really learning about my capacity for joy through my son.

If I were to wear a scarlet letter it would be T.

T for tardy. T for turd ball. T for totally inept mother.

We are late for school with such alarming regularity it’s embarrassing. The last time we were on time, after a mini snowstorm that excited my children enough to urge them into their snowsuits and outside at 6:30 a.m., we got to school five minutes early to find it dark and empty. Delayed opening. I was apparently the only mother who didn’t get the memo.

Being late for school brings up a vicious brew of conflicting emotion in me. On the one hand I just don’t care. Life is short. Far too short to risk traumatizing your children with a bullwhip and terrorizing morning walkers and squirrels, not to mention my own white-knuckled children, speeding our way to school like Toad on a motorcar bender each weekday morning.

On the other hand I am ashamed, deeply embarrassed, to be “that mom.” All the other moms can do it, even the single ones. Why. Can’t. I? What’s wrong with me?

I complained about this once to a woman from South Carolina who I met on my Guatemala trip and she told me her school started at 7:30. She also made it clear her kids were never late.

Never late.

Heidi Klum Treats Her Four Kids to a Saturday Lunch Special

Heidi Klum treated her four children to lunch in LA on Saturday. She left a restaurant in Brentwood hand in hand with her oldest, Leni, and was followed by two nannies, Lou, Henry, and Johan. Heidi has been keeping her kids' schedules as normal as possible in the aftermath of her and Seal's split. Despite their plans to divorce, Heidi Klum and Seal wear wedding rings still - she had hers on for the weekend meal. They're still apparently going forward with their separation, and she recently thanked fans for their support. She wrote on Twitter, "I want to thank you for all your support and kind words. Really means so much. Thanks again."

The Modern Family Crew Talks Underwear and Life After Fame

The cast of Modern Family swung by the SAG Awards press room after wining their best ensemble comedy award tonight. The acting family chatted about the win, and Rico Rodriguez and Nolan Gould continued to lead the conversation even backstage. They spoke about what they've learned from being a part of the show and each other, and Sofia Vergara cleared up rumors that she forgoes undergarments underneath her gowns. Here are some highlights:

Rico on how he knew Nolan before the show: "Actually, me and Nolan were in the same acting class when we were going out for Modern Family, so it was really cool seeing each other every week and saying, 'We're getting really close to it!'"

Nolan on what he's learned from his older castmates: "I have learned lots of curse words from them."

Ty Burrell on adjusting to their success: "I'll go with unbelievableness. I'll go with that word. Yeah, I think for most of us in this situation, this exceeds the best-case scenario, because it's a show that the country seems to really be liking . . . I can't imagine a better job and I'm absolutely sure I speak for everyone."

Sofia on if she skipped undies tonight: "No, I always wear underwear! It's just that they're very tiny and you could say there's almost no underwear, but there is underwear."

Julie Bowen on how fame has changed her: "I've stopped beating my children in public."

Heidi Klum kept up her routine and brought her kids to karate class in Brentwood, CA on Saturday. The martial arts practice has been a standard for the Klum-Samuel children for years, and Heidi seems to be making sure things don't change in the wake of her split with their father Seal. Heidi and Seal announced their breakup just days ago, and immediately there were many rumors about what went wrong. Seal spoke about divorcing with "dignity" when he stopped by Ellen DeGeneres's show earlier in the week, and he was spotted still wearing his wedding ring for other interviews promoting his new music.

Kate Winslet stepped back into the Golden Globes press room shortly after accepting the latest statue for her collection. She won for her work in Mildred Pierce, but backstage, talk turned to future roles. She apparently has her eye on playing Elizabeth Taylor as well as taking on the part of a man someday. Plus, Kate told us why roast chicken became a favorite in her household:

On the rumors both she and Lindsay Lohan want to play Elizabeth Taylor: "I think I’ll decline to comment, that’s the first I’ve heard of that story. It’s a massive undertaking for anybody who should be fortunate enough to get that part. I’m not gonna go there, dude!"

On dream future roles: "I would like to someday play a man. That is something that I do know. I don’t know what kind of man. I don’t know whether that would ever happen or not. That would be the ultimate challenge."

On learning to cook for the part: "I was taught to section up a chicken by Tom Colicchio! He used a technique that was quite old-fashioned so it married up. My children were eating a lot of chicken!"

On how Ricky Gervais is doing as a host: "He seems to be doing absolutely fine. I’ve been back here for about the past half-hour, so unless he’s fallen over or started drinking too much, I think he’s doing OK."

Best fashion advice she's ever received: "Wear something that I feel comfortable in, not to wear something just because someone else is telling me to. I think that is true of life as well."

Rachel, Kirsten, Minka, and a Fashionable Hollywood Crowd Celebrate Art of Elysium's Heaven Gala

Rachel Bilson, Kirsten Dunst, and Minka Kelly stepped up their fashion game last night at LA's Union Station in support of the Art of Elysium's annual Heaven Gala. Rachel, dressed in a frock from Chanel's Spring 2012 collection, arrived solo, though she later met up with her Hart of Dixie costar Jaime King, who was wearing Valentino. Minka selected a bright Oscar de la Renta gown for the occasion while actress Camilla Belle modeled a bold Carolina Herrera. Newlywed Molly Sims hit the red carpet with her husband, Scott Stuber, in a coral grecian gown. The mom-to-be posed with her hand on her growing baby bump and then stopped to share a hug with stylist Brad Goreski. Brad told us he's hoping all of his clients make the best-dressed list at tomorrow's Golden Globe ceremony, and he can't wait to return to NYC for the upcoming 2012 Fall Fashion Week.

Busy Philipps arrived in a beaded gown and told us the evening's ethereal theme inspired her final dress decision. Tomorrow she'll be accompanying best actress nominee Michelle Williams to the Globes and said she'll have her "fingers crossed" when Michelle's category is announced. Singer Estelle kept the crowd entertained during the celebration in addition to a vintage couture fashion show sponsored by Decades. The gala, celebrating its fifth year, was originally created to celebrate artists who dedicate their time to children battling serious illness. Kirsten Dunst, in a black Valentino, was previously recognized for her philanthropic work with the charity, and this year that honor was bestowed on The Hobbit's Elijah Wood. Elijah took the stage and thanked the organization, saying, "It has enriched my life to be a part of this tirelessly dedicated family and the lives of the children they've transformed."
