This morning marks the arrival of the Christopher Kane for Topshop collection in stores and online. As expected, the Scottish designer held nothing back, creating a cornucopia of body-con frocks, slinky tees, leggings, jackets, and denim. To take it up a notch, Christopher utilized eyelets, leather, fringe, and funky prints to show off his edgy-pop attitude. Flamboyant2 and I must be on the same wavelength. We both have nuptials to attend, so that means shopping for a snazzy ensemble. All this wedding talk inspired me to feature her picture-perfect outfit. I'm absolutely smitten with the artsy disc dress because it's simultaneously girlie and modern. The velvet bow purse is ideal for cross-body function and the embellished sandals are perfect for dancing the night away!

Fab Flash: Versus' Comeback

I remember Versus from the '90s being Versace's youthful, rebellious younger line. The ads were cool; remember the twin series? While other companies are downsizing, Versace is reviving. Versus is making a comeback. At Milan Fashion Week this week, the Versace group is releasing a relaunch package. First up: An accessories line designed by Scottish boy genius Christopher Kane.

Handbags, shoes and steel jewelry, have a hard-edged, glam vibe. Black, white, and silver make up a renegade collection not for the faint of heart. Donatella spoke of her choice of Kane confidentially, "Christopher is a highly creative young designer and his work impressed me from the very beginning. His rock n roll style is very powerful, glamorous and sensual - perfectly in tune with the mood of Versus - which was always intended for young people who want clothes that project a personal style that is constantly evolving."

Fall Glimpse: Ice Ice Baby

Per usual, the Fall runways were awash with dark, moody, and jewel-tone colors. However, some designers went against the grain and embraced the icy-cold colors of Fall. Winter white, mellow gray, and arctic blue are intense, cool, and collected.

Narciso Rodriguez (left) was decidedly hyperbolic with this monochrome look - a sculptural white dress, blinding tights and banded shoes. It may be slushy and ugly outside, but being stylishly stark never looked so good.

Fab Read: Fashion Illustrations by Fashion Designers

Whether they admit it or not, everyone loves sneaking a peek at something they're not supposed to see.

Fashion historian Laird Borrelli's new book Fashion Illustration by Fashion Designers ($27) facilitates just that, by giving us a look at designer's sketches that aren't meant for public consumption.

The newly released book features 250 original sketches from 50 of the world's top designers, including Christian Lacroix, Karl Lagerfeld, Phillip Lim, Rodarte, Christopher Kane, and Giambattista Valli. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to sink my teeth into this one.

London Fashion Week, Fall 2008: Christopher Kane

London darling Christopher Kane has gone mad for paillettes. While you will also see lots of sheerness in his Fall collection, the two textures complement each other brilliantly. Texture play is a major theme for Kane and proving to be one of his strengths.

The dresses are the winners here, with their fluid lines and interesting compositions. The separates - boxy jackets and flared skirts - are more wearable than previous collections of his. The jackets in particular have an armor-like beading that creates high drama. And those, paillettes; Kane couldn't get enough, and neither can I.

On Our Radar: Topshop Capsule Collections

Fashionable things are brewing over at Topshop. Starting mid-Jan, capsule collections by London-based Jonathan Saunders (Thandie Newton favorite) and Louise Goldin are set to come out. Saunders' pieces include black and grey jersey T-shirts and dresses with geometric prints. Goldin's include knit dresses woven in bright blues, reds, and oranges. Following that, on January 28, more capsule collections will arrive from Christopher Kane, Marios Schwab, Todd Lynn, and Richard Nicoll.

The gang of London fashion burglars who have been on the lam since September have finally been apprehended!

The seven men aged between 19 and 43 raided everyone from Christopher Kane to Luella Bartley to Roger Vivier, swiping thousands worth of bags and jewellery. I wonder if they were out for a buck, or just had some very lavishly spoiled girlfriends, sisters, and mothers?
