Freaky or Fabulous? Colorful Cigarettes

This Hollywood Dreams editorial in April's Flair magazine makes me want to pack up and head South to where the sun do shine. It doesn't hurt that it features one of the naturally sexiest models out there, Flavia Oliveira. I'm not endorsing smoking (I promise, Fit!), but doesn't she look way cool with those Nat Sherman rainbow cigarettes? I suppose it would have been fine to use regular white smokes, but the fact that they're pink, green, and super skinny makes it more fashiony. I know you once said smoking in editorials is not fashionable, but are colorful cigarettes freaky or fabulous?

Say so long to dVb and hello to Victoria Beckham Denim. The posh mama, who practically lives in her skinny jeans, is giving her denim a high-end makeover come Spring '10. This time around, the line will focus on funky cigarette styles in classic hues and pastel colors, as well as a vintage range. Denim jackets, boyfriend jeans, cutoff shorts, and leggings are also part of the new mix. With such refinement also comes a higher price tag - the collection starts at $230. Will you participate?

You know those songs you wish your guy would dedicate to you? This is one of mine. Whenever I hear this it makes me feel good, real good. It's uplifting, sweet, and sexy - it doesn't get much better. And I'm obviously partial to a song with "Sugar" in the title. I thought it would be fun to go live with this one, it's a pretty cool performance. I love how lead singer Ian McCulloch has a cigarette dangling from his sugar lips . . .

Alexander Wang Leo Cigarette Pant: Love It or Hate It?

Hot stuff! I think these Alexander Wang Leo Cigarette Pants, $290, are totally cute. Wang has taken a few classics and created an entirely modern item. You have the slim cropped pant ala Audrey, the black and white color pairing ala Blondie, and the small leopard print ala Gwen. You even have styling tips in the pic itself; yes, anything involving a tight fitting animal print should be paired with simplicity. You know my take on these, what's yours?

Fab's Fashion Night Out!

While Pop was chatting it up with Gwen Stefani, I was doing what Fashion's Night Out was supposed to do - shopping! And gallivanting and celeb-spotting. You ready for my FNO adventure? My fellow fashion junkie friend and I started at Bergdorf Goodman where many fashion festivities were going on. Along the way I saw Rachel Bilson and Hayden waiting for their car in front of their hotel - I said hi to her but don't think she remembered me from when I interviewed her at Brian Reyes's show last Fashion Week. Moving on, as expected, there was a line to get into the department store, and it was a madhouse inside. I spotted jewelry designer Philip Crangi on the way in; it's hard to miss him, he looks like a pirate. We went straight to the shoe department where we fawned over Balmain boots, Giuseppe Zanotti lovers, awesome Alaia's, and Chanel flats. We quickly decided to leave the Bergdorf madness, but stopped at the M.C.L jewelry counter and said hi to model cutie Karlie Kloss on the way out.

We dashed down to Soho - my main goal of the night was the Intermix party where Sienna and Savannah Miller were hosting. The streets were alive with fashion! I had to pop into J.Crew (conveniently located across the street from Intermix) where I bought a super-cute long gold jeweled mushroom pendant.

Intermix was the place to be, with an ultra-fashion-y crowd and cool '80s tunes. Someone asked us if it was true Rihanna was supposed to come and before I knew it flashes were frenzied and there she was. We were actually in line for the bathroom when this happened and her and her posse came right towards us hence my super-close picture of her. She was incognito chic in a black wraparound-hooded dress and insane Grace Jones-esque shades and crimson lips. She posed for pics with a subtle smile on her face, the crowd was mesmerized. What a cool surprise! But where's Sienna?

There she is, sis in tow. But Sienna's hosting wasn't nearly as impressive as Rihanna's - the Millers sisters were outtie, they didn't even stay for champagne. Wha? We had a dinner date at Indochine at 11p.m., but along the way my friend bought a pair of fly boots from Steven Steve Madden and I scored a glam rockin' purple sequin blazer from Topshop. They aren't online, so I can't show you, but they're dope and we did our economy-stimulating part of the evening. Done and done.

Cruising into Indochine was unreal. Iman was in the first booth, post-bartending at Barneys Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were in the next, and models Lily Donaldson and Daria (Daria!) Werbowy were smoking cigarettes another booth away. Can you say awesome? We met up with fellow bloggers Faran from Nylon and Britt from Fashionista and gobbled up wonderful exotic fare. At one point I was in the bathroom with Iman and totally froze - her beauty is unreal. I headed home and had sweet dreams of fashion - goodnight Fashion's Night Out!

FABTV: Cindy as Dennis

Here at Fab we're always reminiscing about MTV's House of Style. For you youngins who may not know what I speak of (gasp), it was MTV's '90s fashion TV show that included snippets of fashion shows, models, news, designers - totally fun stuff. The best part was Cindy Crawford played host for most of it, later hosts included Rebecca Romijn, Shalom Harlow, and Amber Valletta. With the recent onslaught of fashion-focused TV shows, I'm not surprised MTV is bringing this show back - yay!

I remember being a budding fashionphile watching Cindy and the wide world of fashion, eyes glued to the tube. I was House of Styling myself on YouTube when I came across this ad Cindy did for the show. It mocked Dennis Leary, also a hot topic of the time, and his iconic black-and-white TV bits. Cindy does a pretty fab job, crazy Supermodel hair, cigarette, and all.

Kate Moss's Glastonbury Style

Fab Body Guide: J Brand Creates Jeans For Bodacious Women

If you ask, they will answer. At least that's the case with J Brand. “Blue Label is perfect for women with curves. We have received a good deal of feedback from women who told us they loved our look and styles but wanted a fuller fit. We created Blue Label with a more generous cut around the leg, as well as a contoured waistband to hug the body’s natural curves,” says creative director and cofounder of the J Brand, Susie Crippen.

The new collection consists of three dominant cuts: The Scarlett, The Catherine, and The Monroe; and waist sizes will range from 25 to 34. The Scarlett and Catherine uses J Brand's classic cigarette and bootleg styling while The Monroe caters to women who prefer a wide-legged fit. The Blue Label is set to launch exclusively at Bloomingdale’s in July and other stores in August.

On Our Radar: Shopbop Masters Denim Shopping

Denim, denim, and more denim. Can a girl have enough? Um, no. Shopbop knows this, and they want to help you master denim shopping. We could all use help when finding the perfect pair and sometimes it means being schooled. Our friends at Shopbop have created a video simply called "How to Buy Jeans," that shows the e-tailer's in-house team helping you to find the perfect pair of jeans. The video guide is hosted by Shopbop's style director, Morgan Wendelborn. Side note: Which jeans is she wearing?! I love the knee holes.

"The idea is to walk the customer through the jeans department with the service they could get in a department store," said Alana Goldsmith, Shopbop's denim buyer. The videos will be updated as new trends hit the denim scene. There are three videos: Denim 101, The Right Fit and Style & Washes. Upon watching The Right Fit segment I learned I'm a mid-rise gal and should try out the J Brand Cigarette Leg Stretch (check) and the Seven High Wait Boot Cut (checking).
