Fab Finding Follow-Up: Night at the Speakeasy

My friends and I are constantly looking for fun places to experience. Last weekend, we headed to the local speakeasy. Unlike typical bars, this place took us back in time with its moody '20s theme. We wanted to blend in with the crowd, so I asked you to help me find a fun outfit that matches the era. Fringe would be fun!

I started you off with this White House Felt Cloche ($48) because it's classic and cool. Let's see what you all came up with.

I have a Great Gatsby-esque cloche hat that I've been wearing all Winter. If you don't have one in your closet yet, try one out, like this Bloomingdales Wool Cloche Hat. It's similar to the one Diane Kruger wore recently at a New Year's party. Plus, the light color will allow you to wear it through Spring.

A little boxy Chanel jacket. You have to love this woman's luxe travel wardrobe. Chanel tweed is ideal, but you can make an equal statement in fur - embellished, plaid, or striped. I remember first falling for Eugenia Kim's headwear years ago while in NYC. I saw a fantastically dressed girl wearing the sleekest cloche hat. Of course, I had to ask here where she got it, and that's when she told me about Eugenia. I promptly looked her up, and all hopes of owning one of her creations went down the drain when I found out her hats ranged from $200 to $300. Ready for the twist? Eugenia decided to come out with a cheaper line, called Eek! (cute, huh?), for Urban Outfitters. The collection costs a fraction of her namesake line, $28 to $48, and includes a version of her famous cloche hat, headbands, hair clips, and cool caps. Thanks for hooking it up, Eugenia.

Fab Finding Follow-Up: Sunny Santa Cruz

Lucky for me, Santa Cruz is just one(ish) hour away, so a day-trip is super easy. A friend invited me to head down there with her last weekend for a day of shopping and chilling - we had so much fun! As predicted, the temperature was in the mid-70s so I needed you to help me put together a cute, layered outfit. I was thinking something floaty and definitely a hat.

I Love Your ShopStyle: Berlin Rock

Looking at oli's photo evoked instant feelings of wanderlust. How sick would it be to escape to Germany and experience Berlin rock? Luckily, I don't have to be in another country to slip into her slick outfit. I love how she styled a simple tank and shorts with funky accessories. Her jewels add major spunk and the navy cloche hat is a unique touch. Glastonbury, anyone?

Designer Spotlight: Ishii NYC

Now that Fall glimpses are underway, it's an opportune time to present to you the Fall collection of Ishii NYC. The brand was founded by Tamae Ishii, a Tokyo-born, California-raised fashion designer with a knack for traveling. Ishii graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York and worked with Valentino during her time in Italy. She also honed her skills alongside Calvin Klein, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Zac Posen. Not bad!

The Fall collection has an equestrian undertone but an air of elegance that women crave. Even Ishii's use of plaid is sophisticated. The line's cloche hats give a nod to the flirty flappers of the '20s. These combinations give you a collection you can't help gushing about.
