Davida10 and I are on the same wavelength. See, we're both wearing Wang(ish) sweats today. I like how she paired her casual bottoms with a crisp black blazer for maximum contrast - smart! The beanie also adds a funky grunge touch.

Hughes Cinema Style: The Breakfast Club

I have dedicated not one but two FABTVs to The Breakfast Club. So yeah, it's a fave. It's no Sixteen Candles or Weird Science, but it's up there in Fab's John Hughes top three. I think my favorite character's style in this one is actually not Molly - it's bad boy Bender. With his flannel-over-thermal and bandana-around-boot, he had style for miles. And then there were four: the Jock, the Princess, the Basketcase, and the Geek . . . tres chic. Source

FABTV: Phoenix, "Lisztomania" (SF Brat Pack Mash Up)

I feel a smile coming on . . . this brand spanking new Phoenix video was filmed in my hometown, San Francisco, over the past couple Sundays. It's fresher than fresh. The kids are local talent, and one of my friends is even one of the danceaholics in it - hi Trish! (She's the vibrant redhead with the cool printed tee). It's so spirited. The dance moves may look familiar - an ode to one of the best scenes in The Breakfast Club. And the shots of neon garb hone in on the awesome '80s vibe. Smile on.

Fab Finding Follow-Up: Cold-Weather Clubbing

It's easy to dress for a night of dancing when the weather is warm, but when it gets chilly, I'm not as keen to throw on my favorite skimpy party top. So before my night out with the girls on Friday, I asked you guys to come Fab Finding with me to put together a cold-weather clubbing outfit around this Bebe Crochet Cowl Neck Sweaters, available for $98 here. (In fact, one of my friends on Friday showed up wearing an almost identical look.)

I asked you all to find shoes, a bag, bottoms, and a coat. The results were by far some of my favorite Fab Finds in a long time. (To learn what a Fab Find is and how to make one, click here.) Here are some of the best cold-weather clubbing looks.

Club Fife: Undies Delivered to Your Door

No matter how often you change your style, one thing stays constant: You'll always need a steady supply of undies. That's why I love Club Fife, which is essentially a subscription service for underwear. Made in San Francisco by Scottish designer Andrew Linton, Fife's boy shorts and thongs (or "knickers," as they're known to Brits) are made of modal, a fabric made from beechwood chips. The knickers wear like silk or microfiber (read: no panty lines) but feel like cotton, and they're machine washable too. (I should also mention that I usually avoid thongs at all costs, and these are the most comfortable ones I've ever worn.)

FABTV: The Breakfast Club Dance Scene

FABTV is taking a new direction this week - let's not forget about important fashion/music/dance moments in film. It's these hybrids that sometimes make cinematic history. Flashdance anyone? But onto a less famous scene from a very famous film, the one, the only, The Breakfast Club. The song is so-so, but the moves are so groovy. Each character has their individual style that totally works with their persona. The Prom Queen is doing the quintessential '80s bounce kick, The Jock is working the air guitar, The Rebel is headbanging (naturally), The Basket Case is the most artistic of the bunch, and The Geek is, well, geeking out. Gotta love it.

Look of the Day: Country Club Chic

Look of the Day: Cold-Weather Clubbing

Last Friday, before my night out with the girls, I asked you guys to come Fab Finding with me to put together a cold-weather clubbing outfit. TeamSugar's Fab Finders found some great pieces, but I simply must show off this sparkly sweater ensemble that one of my friends put together for the occasion.

I love how she layers the slouchy, metallic cardigan over the glittery black shirt, which you can see through to the pink top underneath. However, the magenta suede boots over the gray skinny jeans really tie it all together, don't you think? I think it deserves the honor of TeamSugar Look Book Look of the Day. Tonight I've planned a big night out with the girls, and naturally, I'm still debating what to wear. As Paris and Nicole have demonstrated, it's easier to dress for a night of dancing when the weather is warm. But when it gets chilly, I'm not as keen to throw on my favorite skimpy party top.
