Help! Not Sure How I Feel About This Skirt

I love cobalt. I'm usually attracted to shades of blue but cobalt definitely calls out to me. But I don't know if the black sash hanging down the front is unique and forward, or just plain distracting. What do you think ladies?

Celebrity Style: Maria Sharapova

I don't know where Maria Sharapova went last night, but it must have been a helluva swanky party. The tennis star has once again impressed with her spot-on fashion sense. The cobalt cutout Thakoon dress gives her look a major jolt, while the chunky silver Dries van Noten necklace adds more pizazz. What's particularly cool here is that she threw her black oversized blazer over her shoulders borrowed-from-the-boys style. But what's even cooler is that she designed her own shoes, complete with Nike air cushioning, in a collaboration with Cole Haan. Now that's style.

Trend Alert: Silky Blues

I have a closet confession: I veer towards solids. Prints are tricky for me - I tend to tire of a print after a couple years. Is that normal?

I have always liked polka dots, and stripes, but when it comes to geometric patterns or florals they just don't keep me inspired. Therein lies the beauty of silky blues. Though these pieces are solid, they have charisma. The silky fabrics make them appear fluid and sexy. We experienced a wave of moody blues at the Grammys this year - but Demi outshines them all in this bias cut silky blue Zac Posen.
