Winter Boots To Wear Instead of UGG(lie)s

I'm over them (for the record, I was never under them). Molly is over them. There are cuter and newer alternatives to the chunky, casual UGG - I swear it! Go ahead, be a trendsetter. Check these out, and please please please try to break the mold. For me? Also, these alternate UGGs are less expensive and, in my opinion, not as UGG(ly) as the played out boot.

Rubber Duck Snowjoggers in Olive, $80. These come in many more colors and are old school cool. And, did I mention Sienna Miller and Katherine Heigl sport these?

Front Lace Hardsole Suede Fringe Boot, $70.95. My personal favorite, these come in more colors and are so chic with long leggings and a tunic sweater.

Nine West Melba, on sale for $49.99 (originally $99). I think these are a nice mix of the above two styles.

Just because it's closing up shop soon doesn't mean eLuxury is going to waver in its delivery of luxurious goods. This Just In! Designing Clothes is on Rihanna's Agenda

Are we getting tired of celebrities trying their hand at designing clothes? A little. But I'm not tired of musicians trying just yet. Rihanna is proving to be quite the emerging fashion icon on stage, on the sidewalk, and on the fashion circuit. Here she is rubbing shoulders with John Galliano during Paris fashion week.

In a recent interview with Extra Rihanna reveals that she's over the cold weather - well, yeah - but also that a fashion line is in the works. She confesses to taking her time with it, though, as she wants it to be perfect and make sure it's cutting edge. There's something to be said about being a perfectionist and given the influx of celebrity designers, I can wait this one out to see if it will truly blow my flats off.

Kate Hudson's Winter White Fur: Love It or Hate It?

A stark white fur coat is quite a way to make a statement when it's nippy. Kate Hudson made a bold appearance in her furry outerwear at Dolce & Gabbana's Pre-Fall 2008 Collection event. I've always thought that Kate wears cold-weather clothing really well, but this is taking it to a highly sophisticated, and dramatic, level. I heart, do you?

Fab Flash: Amanda Bynes Plays Designer

Teen-favorite actress, Amanda Bynes, can now add fashion designer to her already lengthy resume. Steve & Barry's, the 200-unit clothing chain specializing in university logo sweatshirts, who also has a deal with SJP's Bitten, is now also working with this actress.

The exclusive collection, called Dear, will feature 120 pieces of clothing, 28 accessory styles (bags, shoes, belts, cold-weather items), and 70 pieces of jewelry. It will reflect Bynes' personal sense of style and comfort and will hit Steve & Barry's stores on August 10. The good news for all you budget-loving fashionistas is that all items will retail at $20 or below!

Quilted Vests for Crazy Weather

When the Fall weather is being fickle-shifting from tolerably chilly to bitterly cold in a matter of hours-a warm quilted vest is a great clothing item to have in your closet arsenal.
