We recently swung by the Fall press previews for Crate & Barrel, CB2, and Land of Nod, and were utterly delighted by the new Fall lines. Most of these pieces won't be available until July, so you're getting an exclusive peek at what to expect from these companies in the coming months - make sure to bookmark your favorites so you can look for them online or in-store after July. Here are some quick notes on each collection:

Crate & Barrel: Gorgeous Marimekko fabrics, natural woods, plaid and stripe upholstery, organic, handmade-looking tableware, pops of blue, and beautiful pendant lamps are some of the highlights for us.
CB2: A fun, urban vibe, big pops of color, especially yellow, experimentation with pattern (see the red gingham lounge chair and various rugs), and natural woods.
Land of Nod: This kids' retailer provides major inspiration for weddings or outdoor party decor thanks to the lanterns, garlands, string lights, and textiles. We're also loving the throw pillow, pendants, Sante Fe-style rugs, wall decor, and more.

Beth Ditto Gets Her Own MAC Line

Singer Beth Ditto has long been known for her avant-garde fashion sense and experimental approach to hair color and makeup, but now MAC is giving her the chance to share her creative vision with the rest of us. WWD reports that Beth's limited-edition collection is expected to hit MAC counters come June. The first image from her campaign has just been released, and if the shades on display are any indication, we're in for bold, bright colors and lots of matte textures. We're most excited about the possibility of cool nail polishes, though - Beth's pink, yellow, and black manicure above looks both cutting edge and surprisingly wearable.

Twice the Fun on the Double Exposure Digi Cam

I love the ability to manipulate a roll of film in a Holga or other Lomo camera, and manually rewind the spool for a double exposure with the most dreamy qualities. Unfortunately, the reality of actually carrying around a larger toy camera, possibly dropping it and accidentally exposing the film, and having the film actually processed, leaves it locked away at home most of the time. The Minimo-X Double Exposure Digi Cam ($130) from Photojojo looks like the perfect digital gadget to start photography experimentation again. At just two-inches wide and weighing one ounce, the Digi Cam combines two pictures into one in a flash and includes the saturated colors and vignetting Lomo cameras are known for. The 3.2MP camera also takes video and somehow fits a one-inch LCD screen on the back for perfect double framing.

Rick Owens Spring 2012

“I always resented the idea of radical silhouettes or exaggeration being confined to the runway,” said Owens, when describing his Spring collection. “That kind of extremity should be accessible all day long.” That said, wearability was key for Owens, as seen through the simple cotton and leather fabrics he juxtaposed into a '60s couture-inspired line. Long, lean pillar skirts were the focal point, paired with a range of structured and voluminous tops. Most notably were the array of modern patchwork jackets and exaggerated bell-sleeved renditions. Meanwhile, flowy draped skirts and intricately ruched gowns provided a softer touch to the collection. The color palette stayed true to his aesthetic, featuring predominately black, white, and gray hues, but there was also experimentation with a warm clay hue. “There’s no irony," said Owens. "It’s not particularly witty. There’s no menace. This time, it’s really pure, simple grace.” More details from the collection below.
