When I came across this Alexander Wang T-Shirt Dress ($395), it immediately went on my must list. I love the contrast between the slouchy top and the curve-hugging skirt, paired together forming one perfect design. It's an effortless dress-it-up, dress-it-down mini. The only snag - splurge city. Not to be discouraged, I went in search of something cheaper, but just as Fab.

Forever 21's Elastic Waist Colorblock Dress ($16) fits the bill. It has the same silhouette and feel as Wang's shirt dress - with a major discount. Now, there's room in the budget for some slick stilettos.

Found! Lindsay Lohan's Colorblock Maxi Dress

Right before being slapped with another DUI (shame!), Lindsay Lohan was seen partying in this beautiful colorblock maxi dress. Most of you, Fab included, wanted to know who designed this striking dress. Some speculated it was Ella Moss, some DKNY. Nope, neither! It's Lipsy Colorblock Maxi Dress, $208. She doesn't look very happy in this dress, but that fun colorblocking would sure brighten up my day!

Lake Bell in Colorblock Lyn Devon Maxi: Love It or Hate It?

I like maxi dresses, I dig colorblock, but for some reason I can't stomach the two together. Lake Bell wore a colorblock maxi Lyn Devon dress to a party for the designer in LA that has me flummoxed. The colors in her ensemble are punchy and the belt helps define her waist, but do you approve of the final product?

Who Wore It Better? Chloe Colorblock Dress

Chloe's Spring collection was infused with all sorts of colorful colorblock dresses. Leighton Meester first wore the tunic dress back in May with Chloe's cool slip-through clutch. Model and fiance of radio personality Howard Stern Ostrosky wore a slightly different Chloe colorblock dress to the screening of The Wackness in NYC. Though they have different silhouettes, both dresses resemble one another in color. Think of them as fraternal twins. Which Chloe-wearing gal do you prefer, Leighton or Beth?

Who Wore It Better? Theory Alisse Colorblock Dress

Seeing the versatility of this Theory Alisse colorblock dress kinda makes me want it. Who thought we would be comparing the daring Kelly Osbourne and the darling Miley Cyrus? Not I. Kelly wore this comfy dress in LA but added her flair with a hard-edged, gold-studded belt, sassy pumps, and a black-patent bag. Miley wore it to her Bolt premiere over a white tank and under a varicolored necklace. I can't choose - they both made this dress their own. You choose!

Urban Outfitters is the gift that keeps on giving. First it brought us its snazzy early Fall look book and now is delivering even fresher merchandise for Fall '09. Shall we dive in? This bunch is filled with girlie florals, cropped jackets, studded booties, understated bags, flannel, ripped jeans, and so much more. One of my favorite looks is this print dress with a vest and black hat. It's part folk, part boho, part rock 'n' roll. This colorblock backpack is pretty rad, too.

With the exception of penning a book, 2005 Project Runway alum, Daniel Vosovic, has been majorly MIA. However, he's back on our radar thanks to a divine Spring '10 collection comprised of sporty yet polished frocks and separates. His eight-piece collection is dipped in hues of cobalt, black, white, and deep amethyst, oozing a fresh, modern aesthetic every girl is looking for. Style For Style: Using Colorblock to Look Slender

When I first saw model Masha Tyelna in this Dazed & Confused editorial (center), I freaked out: I thought her waist was freakishly small. Upon closer inspection, I realized it's just a fashion illusion created by the black side panels on her strapless dress. Phew! Although her look is over-dramatized, we can take away a thing or two from it, much like how we learned from Leighton Meester that racerbacks can make you appear curvier.

The moral of this story is that colorblock dresses, whose side panels are dark, can make you look inches smaller than you are. That's because, like in Masha's case, it's an optical illusion. Our gaze tends to go toward bright colors, so find a colorblock dress whose panels are dark and inside is bright; attention is drawn to the center of your dress. Designer Spotlight: Poltock and Walsh

Designers Fiamma Poltock and Katie Walsh don't necessarily create for celebrity endorsements, but any type of shine is definitely welcome - especially when it comes from Kate Moss. The Super just ordered six pieces from their scintillating Axl Rose (what?!) and snowflake-inspired Fall collection. "Kate is one of the biggest style icons worldwide and we're sure [she] gets bombarded with clothing from designers around the world, so for her to come directly to us and make such a great selection is really a huge honor," said the London-based designers. Poltock and Walsh's mix of tough edge jumpsuits, frocks, and separates include a soft touch via furry textiles, ruffled layers, and silky fabrics. Moss loved this colorblock Paradise City dress so much, she ordered it in two colors.
