When I came across this Alexander Wang T-Shirt Dress ($395), it immediately went on my must list. I love the contrast between the slouchy top and the curve-hugging skirt, paired together forming one perfect design. It's an effortless dress-it-up, dress-it-down mini. The only snag - splurge city. Not to be discouraged, I went in search of something cheaper, but just as Fab.

Right before being slapped with another DUI (shame!), Lindsay Lohan was seen partying in this beautiful colorblock maxi dress. Most of you, Fab included, wanted to know who designed this striking dress. Some speculated it was Ella Moss, some DKNY. Nope, neither! It's Lipsy Colorblock Maxi Dress, $208. She doesn't look very happy in this dress, but that fun colorblocking would sure brighten up my day!

Known for its very wearable designs, BCBG juxtaposed textures and fabrications for looks that were effortlessly easy and cool. Take a look at the entire runway show now!

An architectural aesthetic, specifically Bauhaus style, rules for BCBG's Fall 2012 collection. Structure manifested itself via colorblocking, but it was done on fluid silk chiffon shift dresses, so the effect was a pretty blend of strong forms on flowy silhouettes. The geometric shapes created by bold color combos - black and orange, merlot and blush - were intensified with textural plays like sheer insets and clever pleating that made dresses look magically fluid and sharp at the same time. To counter the collection's emphasis on lightweight materials like silk and chiffon, it also sent cozy outerwear down the runway - we have mixed emotions on the return of gorilla-armed coats, but the multicolor fur vests and canvas and leather trenches were artful choices for next season. The minimalist approach to geometric forms and bold color combinations, together with the flowy silhouettes, make for clothes that are ideal to wear to a gallery opening.

Trends: Colorblocking, fur, architectural detail, Bauhaus.
Colors: Merlot, blush, camel, cream, navy, coral, teal.
Key Piece: The canvas and leather trench coat; the super-cool pleated dresses with tulle inserts.
Accessories: Open-toe ankle-strap sandals, bags with contrasting textures like snake and suede.
Who Would Wear It: Erin Wasson was in the front row, but the structured, urbane collection seems more suited to Naomi Watts or Thandie Newton.

We just got our hands on the Jason Wu for Target lookbook, showing the line in its 53-piece entirety. The "gamine chic" collection, inspired by French new-wave films, drops online and in stores on Feb. 5 featuring a range of pieces reflecting girlie nuances with a fresh twist via crisp peplum tops, sweet floral-print dresses, Peter Pan collars, and pleated skirts. Striped colorblocking, sheer floaty blouses, and chic structured totes and handbags were also a focal point in the line. "I wanted the collection to have a sophisticated voice with an American sportswear spin,” said Wu. The best part? Everything is priced under $60. This is a collection we can't wait to shop.
