This Hollywood Dreams editorial in April's Flair magazine makes me want to pack up and head South to where the sun do shine. It doesn't hurt that it features one of the naturally sexiest models out there, Flavia Oliveira. I'm not endorsing smoking (I promise, Fit!), but doesn't she look way cool with those Nat Sherman rainbow cigarettes? I suppose it would have been fine to use regular white smokes, but the fact that they're pink, green, and super skinny makes it more fashiony. I know you once said smoking in editorials is not fashionable, but are colorful cigarettes freaky or fabulous?

Jason Wu showed an exceptionally beautiful, frothy and surprisingly sporty collection for Spring 2012, and singlehandedly made us stick peplum skirts at the top of our must-have list. While Wu promised to go "back to femininity" in our behind-the-scenes interview, he did it playfully. He partnered with the artist KAWS to create a floating petal print that at close view revealed the artist's signature "hands" motif, which suggested how many hands played a part in creating the soft blouses and skirts. "Floating skirts" flew away from the body on an asymmetric angle and boasted big peplum trims, ladylike blouses had intricately beaded collars, and sporty windbreakers - windbreakers! - brought a whole new definition of polish to an outerwear staple that rarely makes its way to a designer's runway. While some pieces, like the white peplum top and black cigarette pants worn by Joan Smalls, were seriously elegant, it was hard not to smile when Wu sent out his floating skirts and dresses in colors like canary yellow, cobalt blue, and candy pink. It was a fun show that beautifully melded Wu's couture-quality workmanship with a sporty, playful attitude.

2011 Fall New York Fashion Week: Alice + Olivia

Stacey Bendet threw a fun party, cough, presentation at The Plaza hotel to show off her vintage-inspired Fall Alice + Olivia collection. We got an up-close and personal look at the flirty collection - and so did celebs Vanessa Hudgens, Brittany Snow, Tinsley Mortimer, Kelly Rutherford, and model Byrdie Bell - as the models jovially danced and frolicked amongst the crowd wearing an array of '20s- and '70s-inspired confections. For the ultimate throwback gal, Bendet devised vintage flapper-inspired beaded dresses, sequin tulle frocks, and corsets complete with feather hair accessories. And for the groovy chicks, high-waist sequin trousers, wide-leg thin-wale corduroys (made in cozy orange hues), short shift dresses, tuxedo-stripe cigarette pants, and printed jumpsuits should do the trick. Surgeon General's Warning Gets Louder

Until recently, the health warnings on US tobacco products have been incredibly subtle compared to cigarette packs in Europe, which are often as blunt as "smoking kills." But thanks to the tobacco law passed last year, US advertising is catching up with bigger, bolder warnings on tobacco products.
The New York Times got its hands on a new ad for Snus smokeless tobacco (above), which follows new requirements that 20 percent of ad space must be occupied by the warning. Starting June 22, all smokeless tobacco products in the US will have to follow these advertising guidelines, and next year, they will apply to cigarette ads as well.

Australia is taking an even more extreme approach: there, the government wants to ban all brand logos and colors on cigarette boxes, leaving behind "only a few words and graphic warning images of shriveled, diseased lungs or gangrenous toes."
