Forever 21 keeps churning out those collections. First it launched plus-size line Faith 21, and now it's on to Love 21, its first-ever contemporary collection. This means we'll be seeing a more sophisticated side of the fast fashion retailer.

With the current boom in contemporary wear, Hollywould has decided to ride the wave.
Come Spring, the brand best known for its hot shoes is launching a 75-piece collection of silk jersey dresses, printed gowns, cotton and jersey T-shirts, jackets, and denim, set to retail at the likes of Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf, and Harvey Nichols.
Eventually, the collection will include everything from lingerie and eyewear to swimwear and even perfume.

Good news for all of you Mary-Kate and Ashley fashion fans! Now that they have the luxury market covered with The Row, Mary-Kate and Ashley have announced the launch of a new contemporary sportswear line, Elizabeth and James, coming out this Fall.
The line is named after their siblings and will include blazers, washed leather jackets, military-inspired tops, shrunken tees, oversize tees, pencil skirts, cashmere sweaters, fur jackets, and cashmere coats, all playing with a masculine/feminine theme.

Nicole Richie is a new mom again, but that's not stopping her from expanding her fashion empire. Along with House of Harlow 1960 and a maternity line for A Pea in the Pod, she is designing a women's contemporary line called Winter Kate (Harlow's middle names). The 37-piece collection, which was inspired by peacocks and other birds, includes tops, vests, bed jackets, and dresses — mini, long slip-style, and kimono-sleeve maxis.

In celebration of BCBG's 20th anniversary, the brand's biggest fans attended the Whitney Contemporaries art and auction party in NYC. Models and actresses alike posed and partied the night away in designer Max Azria's stunning frocks. Some opted for his Herve Leger line, while others went straight for Max Azria.

The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles currently houses a Murakami exhibition featuring more than 90 works by the artist, Takashi Murakami. Art exhibitions are nothing new at MOCA, but what is novel in this case is a Murakami-Louis Vuitton luxury store amid the exhibition. Translation: museum goers can and have purchased Vuitton-Murakami handbags while checking out art.
