Paris Fashion Week is the creme de la creme of all fashion events. New York had its highlights; London wowed me with its revived schedule; and Milan is always beautiful, but Paris? Undeniably thrilling. Here's a roundup of my favorite looks, ranging from the spooky, kooky looks of Gareth Pugh to breathtaking frocks from Yves Saint Laurent. 2008 Fashion Rocks: Beyonce

Beyonce decided to rock her fashion sense at Radio City Music Hall in a short, sleeveless Costume National LDB with silk insets. Silver and gold shoes are the focal point along with Egyptian-inspired eyes. What's also interesting is how she opted to wear two matching bracelets on each wrist. What do you think?

Fab Ad: C'N'C Costume National Fall 2008

Like the latest Calvin Klein Jeans ads, C'N'C Costume National's Fall 2008 campaign features non-celebrities. Only, you probably won't recognize these models because they were recruited from MySpace. Designer Ennio Capasa picked 12 models for their individuality and diversity.

"Social networking is one of the most interesting phenomena today on the Internet," Capasa said. "It represents the great change and dynamism of a society that is increasingly a compulsive consumer of communication and contacts. What do you think? Are these ads appealing?

Double Take: Costume National Hearts Rodarte

Just as I said that it's normal for fashion designers to draw inspiration from one another, one more case popped up to further prove my point. This time, Costume National looked to Rodarte's Fall '08 collection to create one of the pieces in its 2009 Resort line. The fashion world, moi-self included, were awestruck by Rodarte's innovative, beautifully crafted Fall gowns (left). I remember how airy yet strong they looked as they floated past me on the runway. Costume National's version is strikingly similar not only because of its lightness, but because of the abstract multicolor design and the one shoulder. I'm happy to see Rodarte's creativity being multiplied; it's too genius to only be enjoyed by the fashion elite.

Oprah, Anna Wintour, and Patrick Robinson to Host Costume Institute's American Woman Exhibit

Let's see, this year we explored models as muses, the year before we dodged superheroes. 2010's Costume Institute will be all about American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity. “The story of the American woman is really a story of the power of fashion to shape and define identity,” said Andrew Bolton, curator of the Costume Institute. The exhibit will examine our country's fashion between 1890 and 1940 with articles transferred over from the Brooklyn Museum Costume Collection. To go with the all-American theme, Oprah, Anna Wintour, and Gap's Patrick Robinson will act as co-chairs for the event. While we patiently wait for next year's red carpet, play our awesome Met Costume Institute Gala Faceoff and win cash prizes!

Chanel's Exquisite Ballerina

How many feathers does it take to make a custom tutu for ballet sensation Elena Glurdjidze? Over 2,500. Dang. There's no doubt Karl commands the best for his clients. In fact it took three seamstresses at Chanel’s Lemarié atelier more than 100 hours to create this masterpiece. “[Your costume] is 50 percent of how you are going to dance,” said Glurdjidze, a principle dancer with the English National Ballet. “It is very important to have a beautiful costume.” These pictures says it all . . . Behind the Seams: Rachel Zoe Bids Adieu to Her Jewels at Decadestwo

Looks like Rachel Zoe went bananas at her jewelry charity auction last night at Decadestwo in LA. It also appears her and Nicole Richie have reconciled, as Nicole was there unassumingly surveying the offerings. Benefiting the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance, Zoe auctioned off costume jewelry ranging from deco to decadent. Zoe shared, “It’s a cause close to my heart, a wonderful organization and I think giving back should be this Spring’s ‘must-do’ item!” If you want a piece of the banana pie, some goods are up for auction online. Other attendees included Zoe's adorable assistant Brad, her hubbie, Leven Rambin and Perry Reeves. Looks like it was a bauble blast, that we can look forward to seeing on the second season of The Rachel Zoe Project. P.S. The Zoe has an affordable clothing line in the works! Source

Spring Peek: Metallica

Metallics are nothing new. But blinding beading, luxe fabrics, sheer sheen, Lurex lovin', and sequin overload, were runway dominant. Think of it as an evolution; this season's offerings are far from shy, they are as heavy hitting as Metallica. In-your-face, it's time to shine shine shine.

Can you refuse Versace's gold and silver beaded mini dress? I didn't think so. Yves Saint Laurent's forest green sequin jumper may be overboard for some, but I wouldn't kick it out of my bed. Lastly, I die for Karl Lagerfeld's silver liquid gown. Metal heads, are you with me?

Spring Peek: Disheveled Chic

I'd like to think the fashion world is always ahead of the game and, last Fall, knew the world was going to unravel. Yikes - am I being a killjoy? It's just that a throw of Spring runways sent wrinkled, undone, mismatched, crinkled, off-kilter clothes into the mix. I like it. Disheveled chic is promising to be all the rage.

The funny thing is, this look is very calculated. Many clothing items and accessories come into play. It's not minimal, it's not tidy, but it requires styling skills. Take some notes from the fashion farm of Burberry (left). From the floppy hat, to the asymmetrical (rumpled) cardi, to the thrown-on trench, to those delish ombre pants, this girl appears wonderfully nonchalant. Looking like you rolled out of bed never looked so good.
