UnEarthed, by sisters Gina and Karen Koenig, is a result of a mutual love of fashion, art and leathercraft. All three elements are evidenced in the sophisticated-cum-edgy collection of cuffs, earrings and bangles. The duo vowed never to use embossed leathers and imitation skins, so everything you see is made of real crocodile, alligator and snake skin, even this Plum Snakeskin Silver Cuff, $33. The color is obtained by a dye and the slick sheen by hand polishing. Just the perfect accessories for a Wild Thing!

Couture Fashion Week: Givenchy

Givenchy's Spring 2012 presentation just validated our longtime desire to play basketball in a couture gown - Riccardo Tisci brought total glamour to the hardwood, showing beautiful '20s and '30s-inspired looks reminiscent of classic science fiction films. It took 350 hours to complete the silk jersey gowns, which were embroidered with scales of crocodile skin, curve-contouring zippers, and opaque beads - making for extraordinarily one-of-a-kind pieces that are sure to bring the ultimate drama to any red carpet. The feminine, slightly edgy collection was simply breathtaking, and we can't wait to see which starlet will sport the pieces this season.

Trends: Crystals, sequins, and lots of intricate beaded detailing; crocodile scales embroidered on silk tulle.
Colors: White, black, and mocha.

Lucky magazine got the scoop on an exciting new development at Prada. We're thrilled to share this fabulous story from our friends at Lucky!
Hot on the fiery heels of her acclaimed Spring 2012 show, Miuccia Prada has another trick up her sleeve. The renowned designer is launching a capsule collection of jewelry this November.

The line will include a full range of bracelets, necklaces, brooches, and rings created from the brand's trademark materials like fur, gems, and animal skins. WWD reports that "the different styles span from a rock ’n’ roll glossy crocodile bracelet to opulent, sparkly pendants embellished with colored gems or resin roses." Prices will start at $488.

Bottega Veneta's Tomas Maier debuted a Spring 2012 collection that focused heavily on color and texture - and we're not complaining. Goddess gowns of billowy chiffon appeared in jeweled hues of purple, ruby, and rust, and cocktail dresses had geometric embellishment that gave them a slightly tribal feel. There were draping and pleating done in ways to give the clothes volume without sacrificing the most important element of warm-weather dressing: breeziness. Finally, this is Bottega, so we expect a fine showing of accessories. For next season, expect a continuation of exotic skins like lizard, ostrich, and crocodile, but with treatments and embellishments to take them to the next standard of luxury.
