Katie Holmes played with daughter Suri on a beach in Malibu over Memorial Day weekend. A normal mother-daughter activity, with the two ladies showing their usual chic style, but also a curious fashion choice: heels. Most of us go barefoot on the beach, but Suri and Katie kept their shoes on. Katie's pointy heel is no match for sand. The rest of her outfit is a perfect Summer casual mix of cutoff shorts, white tee, loose blazer, and straw fedora. He was sporting a bandage on his leg that could imply that he has a new tattoo, though the singer has yet to comment on whether he's gotten more ink recently. Justin and Selena landed in Mexico today after wrapping up a few work obligations. Selena posed for her new fragrance ads yesterday and Justin is coming off of an appearance at Disney World in Florida, where he taped a performance for the park's Christmas Day Parade show. The Disney fun isn't over for Justin, though, since he and Selena are apparently south of the border to attend the wedding of Selena's Wizards of Waverly Place set costumer, Shannon Larossi.

Her costar, Matthew McConaughey, didn't join her since he's busy working on Magic Mike. Now that Reese's back home, she's been running errands and hanging with her family. Reese, Jim, and Deacon went to church on Sunday, and she was later spotted out shopping.

Ashley Greene Goes Short For Lunch Following an Apparent Flirt-Fest With Gerard Butler

Ashley Greene looked ready for Summer yesterday in a pair of super-short denim cutoffs and fringed sandals as she stopped at Panera Bread in LA. The actress dressed down for the casual outing after getting glam late last week to help honor Katie Holmes at a dinner held by Women in Film, Vanity Fair, and Max Mara. It was one of several high-profile events Ashley has attended this month, having also made an appearance at the CFDA Awards and the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball with Jennifer Garner and Olivia Wilde. Ashley has been keeping up her fitness with frequent workouts when not on the red carpet, and is also apparently enjoying the single life too. She was reportedly seen flirting with Gerard Butler at a post-CFDA party in the Big Apple, where they got cozy over drinks and spent a couple of hours together. Ashley's been briefly linked to several new guys since her split with Joe Jonas, but her career's keeping her busy too. She has three already-completed films slated to hit theaters this year, including LOL, Butter, and last but not least, Breaking Dawn.

She happily posed for photos and autographed copies of her cookbook, My Father's Daughter, appearing calm even with the threat of Hurricane Irene looming over the East Coast. Residents in coastal areas and low-lying towns were advised to evacuate prior to Irene's imminent landfall, though some celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker and Alec Baldwin opted to ride out the storm. The unpredictable weather could delay Gwyneth's future travel plans prior to the release of her next film Contagion. Her costars Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, and Jennifer Ehle were on hand at today's LA press conference, where Matt and the film's director, Steven Soderbergh, jokingly assured reporters Gwyneth's autopsy scene will likely be referred to as "iconic."
