Fab Ad: Valentino Goes Half Nude, Half Clothed For Fall '10

Words that come to mind when I think of Valentino ad campaigns: beautiful, cheeky, fierce. I loved its funny bag-covering-face concept in Spring/Summer '08 and Spring/Summer '09 with Stephanie Seymour. The new word to add to that mix is nude. The house's Fall campaign, shot by David Sims, features models Freja Beha Erichsen, Monika Jagaciak, and Tati Cotliar, in the buff. More specifically, it has two side-by-side shots of the same girl, one where she’s clothed in Valentino and one where she's nakie. Smart concept, but do you like the execution?

Kate Bosworth has long been a fan of Calvin Klein, and it looks like the brand is reciprocating the sentiment: She landed the Spring ad campaign for Calvin Klein Jeans. The images were shot by David Sims in New York and aim to represent a "clean, pure and simple all-American" look. This is the actress' first global campaign, which will break in February issues of fashion magazines.

Fab Ad: Balenciaga Spring/Summer '08

Jennifer Connelly is one of those Fab women who makes me swoon. Not only is she an intense actress but her green eyes and fierce brows are transfixing. The house of Balenciaga is a full force to be reckoned with as well. When I heard Jennifer was to be the Spring face of the brand I got giddy. And here they are. As expected, David Sims' photography is bold, simple and beautiful. There are no frills - just Jennifer and Balenciaga. A fine choice to showcase both of the extraordinary talents. Only thing: Does Jennifer look a bit masculine? Maybe it's just the sculptured shoulders of the clothes. You didn't love it the first time around, do you love it now?

CK One Is Launching Color Cosmetics

If you've always loved Calvin Klein fragrances, you may be interested to know that ck one is debuting a makeup collection. The 130-piece line will have everything from mascara with an adjustable brush to liquid foundation, lipstick, and glossy eyeliner pencils. Look for a limited rollout in late April, before it's available coast to coast in September.

The campaign is the epitome of grungy cool, featuring top models Lara Stone, Fei Fei Sun, Herieth Paul, and Abbey Lee Kershaw, among others. The posing and photography (by David Sims) are reminiscent of classic ck one spots and refreshingly editorial in style, too. Take a closer look at the models (and the products) now.

Sarah Burton took the dramatic route for Alexander McQueen's latest set of Fall ads, featuring Raquel Zimmermann. Shot by David Sims, the apocalyptic setting depicts a glowing Raquel wearing Burton's intricately designed pieces for the fashion house. The contrast between the dark (desolate valleys and burnt ashes) and light (Burton's highly artistic designs) surely catches our attention - do you agree? Prince William and Kate Middleton Arrive in Santa Barbara For a Star-Studded Polo Match

Kate Middleton slipped into a silver Jenny Packham dress for her trip to Santa Barbara with Prince William this afternoon. William and Kate arrived at the Polo and Racquet Club by helicopter and were greeted by a handful of famous faces. Rob Lowe, Molly Sims, and Zoe Saldana were among the celebrities on the field as Kate and William walked across the lawn. Prince William will play in a charity polo game today, and Kate will present the winner with their prize. Guests will also enjoy a lunch prepared by chef Giada De Laurentiis. Kate and William arrived in LA yesterday, and they mingled with David Beckham at a reception thrown in their honor last night.
