Trend Alert: Super Slick Puffers

Are two super slick puffers better then one? Ja. The proof is in the puff at the Sundance Film Festival, where Kerry Washington and Naomi Watts snuggled for a photo. What's interesting is both puffers have an extra wet look to them, making them even more unique. Black is always right; navy, also a sound color choice. The wetter, the better!

Recession aside, there's no stopping the $11,410 Balmain jacket. Beyonce chose to wear the crystal-embellished, drummer-boy stunner to dinner at the Waverly Inn with her hubbie, Jay-Z - they were celebrating their one-year anniversary. She kept the look very Beyonce with tight dark-rinse jeans, sassy sandals, and a chain-handle, black-leather bag. The shoulder love continues, as does Beyonce and Jay-Z love.

Fab Ad: DKNY Jeans Spring '09

Those of you who are fans of street style blogs will probably dig the DKNY Jeans Spring '09 ads, shot by The Sartorialist, Scott Schuman. This is the photographer's first major campaign, but he's no stranger to snapping well-dressed people on the streets. Chanel Iman, Sean Lennon, and Daisy Lowe are all his model subjects. And just to make it extra authentic, the cross streets where the photos were taken in NYC are listed. This style of ad is a departure for DKNY Jeans, but completely relevant to today. What do you think? Are these ads authentic-looking or not so much?

Fab Flash: Hilary Duff Designs For DKNY Jeans

Following in the footsteps of Rachel Bilson's Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans collection will be actress/singer extraordinaire, Hilary Duff. The newest celebrity designer has teamed up with DKNY Jeans to create a trendy collection named Femme for DKNY.

“I love the idea that the collection reaches a lot of people and provides them with so many different options,” said Duff, left wearing her designs. There is truly something in this line for every girl whose styles change every day, like mine does. I think it’s the perfect line for young girls who can’t afford to buy a lot of clothes these days.”

The Femme for DKNY Jeans collection will debut in the Fall at all major retailers. It looks promising; we can't wait to see more!

Fab Flash: Rachel Bilson, Star in Her Own Campaign

Judgement time is around the corner and Rachel Bilson's pulling out all the stops to make her first venture as a celebrity designer a success. The Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans campaign will feature the star in her own designs.

"Our customer has a real emotional connection with Rachel, and she's always on the best-dressed lists, so it seemed like such a win-win for us. Rachel has real personal style and she is very involved in every step. You can really see that in the collection" said president of DKNY Jeans, Kevin Monogue.

The photo shoot, which was shot in New York by Mikael Jansson, features Bilson and models Fabienne Vanderhaeghen, Regina Feoktistova, and Giedre Dukaskaite against a edgy NYC backdrop. "She was really hands-on with the entire process. She, with the help of stylist Tabitha Simmons, made the clothes come to life in such a youthful, authentic way, which is so true to Rachel's own personal style - always youthful, but appropriate" said the creative director of the shoot, Trey Laird.

The ad campaign will run in the September and October issues of Teen Vogue and Cosmogirl magazines to coincide with the launch of Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans line in September. Look forward to a trendy sportswear collection consisting of tops, sweaters, jackets, tees, dresses, and jeans to be sold at department stores including Macy's and Dillard's.

Fab Flash: Rachel Bilson Does DKNY Jeans

Last week it was Avril Lavigne, and this week it's Rachel Bilson joining the celebrity designer foray.

Rachel contacted DKNY Jeans to express an interest in working with them, and that's how her junior sportswear line, Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans, came about. The collection will include 15 pieces when it launches in September, including button-down tops, sweaters, jackets, tees, dresses, and dark wash jeans in a black, white, and yellow color palette.

Rachel seems dedicated to her designs: "This line is my main focus right now," she said. "I can't draw at all, so I won't be doing any sketches, but I am learning to sew. I think it's important to know more about the whole process of making clothes."

She named the line for her grandmother Edie, and Rose, a close family friend, because she didn't want to use her own name: "I want people to see these clothes for what they are, not just another line designed by another celebrity," she said. "I want the line to be taken seriously." From these first looks, will you be taking it seriously?

Ashley Greene Talks Favorite Jeans, Her Foolproof Outfit, and Most Memorable Fashion Purchase

You may know her best as a member of the Cullen clan, but even if you're not a Twilight buff, chances are you've spotted Ashley Greene making the transition from actress to model as the face of DKNY Jeans. We caught up with the gorgeous campaign star at Macy's in NYC last night to chat all things fashion. Read on to find out Ashley's reaction to the DKNY campaign, her favorite denim, and her top fashion purchase of all time.

FabSugar: You look gorgeous in the campaign, but we've heard that you have trouble watching yourself on screen. How is seeing yourself in a fashion campaign different?
Ashley Greene: That was really fun for me. The thing about film is that you see all of your nuances. Nobody sits in front of the mirror and watches themselves talk. It's crazy, you get in your head. [For the DKNY campaign] I feel like I'm more excited to see what image they're going to choose and the team that we were working with was really incredible, and when I saw this billboard, it was just incredible. It was humongous. I was expecting something great but it just exceeded my expectations. So, no, that kind of stuff is exciting and I think it's kind of cool to have that snapshot in time, to be able to go back to that and say, "Look what I did!"

FS: You look fantastic in the campaign and the jeans are such a perfect fit on you. Do you have any rules when it comes to dressing your body?
AG: "I think in general with my body type, skinny jeans are pretty good on me. Jeans are really hard, though; you usually have to try them on because it just depends where they sit on you, and how much they flare, and how tall you are. It's really specific and it depends. I think low-rise skinnies are kind of a uniform with me. I actually think the high-rise flares are really fun, too. That's something I started embracing a lot more last year and stepping out of my box. I think they can be extremely flattering on people as well."
