Which Harper's Bazaar July Cover Wins - Fashion or Celebrity?

Harper's Bazaar invented its dual-cover concept in 2001, but it's especially important today since newsstand sales have become as pertinent as advertising revenue. For its July issue, the mag is giving subscribers a fierce fashion cover shot of model Doutzen Kroes, shot by Terry Richardson. But newsstand shoppers will see a completely different cover, one that features a Getty image of Angelina Jolie taken at the LA premiere of Curious Case of Benjamin Button in December 2008. This is the first time Bazaar is using a stock image and its success rate remains to be seen.

"Our readers told us they are completely fascinated by Angelina Jolie. For us, it's about giving readers what they want, when they want it . . . for our subscribers, who desire a more fashion-forward image, we've got the next great supermodel, Doutzen Kroes. Either way, the reader wins," said a spokesperson. So tell me, which cover do you prefer - fashion or celebrity?

Who Wore It Better? Azzedine Alaia Gray Full-Skirt Dress

Usually when two celebrities wear the same dress, they personalize it, say, with varying footwear. Such is not the case for Zoe Saldana and Doutzen Kroes. Both recently wore their Azzedine Alaia's gray full-skirt dress with Alaia's lace-up shoe boots - Zoe at the Star Trek premiere in London and Doutzen at the Cannes Film Festival. They also opted for long earrings, but Zoe chose a chunkier bracelet. Both look outstanding, but who wore it better?

Which Model Looks Most Fab at the amfAR Gala?

To help kick off New York Fashion Week, amfAR hosted a glamorous gala attended by a bevy of models. Doutzen Kroes struck a pose in a floaty red chiffon frock; Lily Donaldson wore a champagne gown with a unique black band; Jessica Stam stood regal in a slick black number with shimmery slices; Noemie Lenoir opted for a sexy red silk gown; and Anja Rubik played it pretty in an ethereal light lavender gown. They all deserve a standing ovation but which look reigned supreme?

Want to know what Victoria's Secret thinks is sexy? You got it. The company has released its What Is Sexy? 2009 List. It includes categories like sexiest style past and present, and sexiest legs past and present. To celebrate the list, the lingerie giant threw a huge party at the Bowery Hotel in NYC. Of course, VS hotties Adriana Lima and Doutzen Kroes (left) were in attendance, as were other gorgeous models and actresses. You better believe there was enough sexiness to last a lifetime.

Which Angel in Red Is Most Fab?

Is there a sexier sight than sizzling Victoria's Secret Angels dressed in fire red? I think not. Selita Ebanks, Marissa Miller, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Doutzen Kroes all gathered at the Victoria's Secret Lexington Avenue flagship store for its grand opening ceremony. Selita opted for sheer, Marissa chose a mini tank dress, Heidi stood out in a print, Alessandra wore Herve Leger, and Doutzen went for shimmer. All are hot, but which angel in red is most Fab? Oh, and don't forget to watch the 2008 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show live tonight at 10 p.m. EST/PST on CBS.

We showed you the Fall ad campaign for Calvin Klein Jeans, Calvin Klein Underwear with Eva Mendes, and now it's time to examine the latest ads for the Calvin Klein collection. This one stars Victoria's Secret model Doutzen Kroes and Halle Berry's boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. I'm all for mysterious rendezvous in the night but is it me or do these ads seem highly dramatized? You know, Doutzen waiting for her man in front of a new BMW; Gabriel seducing Doutzen on a pool chair; the duo having blank looks in their eyes. At this point, I'm more concerned about what's bugging them than looking at the clothes. What's your take?

Models Shake It For a Polaroid Picture

Something about viewing go-see Polaroids of models seems invasive, but cool. It's almost like getting a sneak peek of your favorite models in the comfort of their own home, without tons of makeup, without all the serious posing. For those who aren't familiar with modeling jargon, a go-see is an appointment arranged by the model or her agency as an opportunity to interview with clients. Models are asked to keep their face bare and their clothes simple and form-fitting. That's because designers and magazine editors want to see the real girl, sans all the fluff. Here are a bunch of go-see Polaroids that cast a new light on some of your favorite models, including Gemma Ward (left), Erin Wasson, and Daria Werbowy.

Fab Flash: Gisele Tops List of High-Earning Models in 2008

Forbes' annual list of the world's top-earning models is out, and Gisele takes the top spot again this year.

She has accumulated $35 million (!) in the last 12 months from her former contract with Victoria's Secret, her ads for Versace, a lucrative deal with Max Factor, plus those popular sandals of hers; and that's just to name a few of the sources.

Heidi Klum trails behind in second place with $14 million in earnings, which is no surprise between Project Runway and her Victoria's Secret contract. But the real surprise - to me, anyway - is that Tyra isn't on the list.
