With the first day of Fall come and gone, I'm on the hunt for wallet-friendly dresses that can make the transition from Indian Summer to full-fledged Fall. Which is why I went to Express, where I spied this sassy snake print Tulip Wrap Dress ($30, originally $60). Since dresses and skirts are up to 50 percent off, I didn't even have to choose between this one and a long-sleeve version.

Prints are a surefire way to spruce up a wardrobe. But beware: they sometimes run into tacky town. Take, for instance, this T-Bags Print V Neck Dress ($167).

Katie Holmes and Lucy Liu have both been spotted wearing the Alexander McQueen Drape-front Dress ($1900). It's undoubtedly a gorgeous, modern dress — but one with a whopping price tag. What is a style slave to do in a situation like this?

Eyelets have taken on a new color — black. The traditional eyelet has been associated with Raggedy Anne dowdiness and hot Summer days but has since gone way of the dark side; evoking a sexier, mature look. See Victoria Beckham wearing a flirty, black eyelet Milly dress.

What better way to embrace the warm weather than with a hot little vintage leopard minidress ($42) like this one? The batwing sleeves and elastic waist are straight out of the '80s, but the print and hemline are surprisingly modern.
If you're a size small, wear it with a Fab belt and gladiators, and you are good to go.

Big savings are taking over at Bergdorf Goodman: up to 70 percent off shoes, designer collections, handbags and jewelry! They've reduced further items from Chloe, Gryson, Giuseppe Zanotti, and more.
This Milly Strapless Dress ($185, originally $410) looks very Blair from Gossip Girl to me, and would look smashing over a black turtleneck for Winter or at a garden party during the Summer!

Shalom Harlow wore this Chloe Secret Garden print dress ($1,455, originally $2,425) in the brand's Fall ad campaign, with its Eastern-inspired illustration print, would you wear it?

What a ripe pumpkin color this dress has — imagine it in a sea of Fall drab and drabber — how it will pop! Speaking of popping, the collar looks Fab turned up. Between the ultrasuede fabric and the all-American cut, this 70's shirtdress ($72) hollers Halston, in a very good way.

Take a stand and make a bold statement with this pretty black and ivory floral dress ($18). It fits a size large, and would look perfect for right now contrasted against some black or gray tights. Or if you're really daring, burgundy or plum tights could look smashing, too.
