Earth Day is not over yet. . . . As you know, I have been following the green scene for some time and have opinions about who the best eco-friendly designers are. Of course, SF-loving Stella McCartney tops my list, as does the Loomstate for Target collection. Both deliver goods that are earth-friendly and super stylin'. Beau Soleil's Organic One-Shoulder Dress we're giving away is pretty hot, too. There are oodles of other eco-conscious brands that serve up stylish gear that are good to the environment. Fab Flash: Louis Vuitton Donates to Earth Day

Luxury brand Louis Vuitton is showing off its green side on Earth Day by donating 15 percent of all US online sales to The Climate Project. "Over the past few years Louis Vuitton has voluntarily made efforts to reduce the impact of its activities on the environment. In addition we are proud to be able to support The Climate Project in its inspiring quest to raise awareness of the climate crisis," said President of Louis Vuitton North America, Daniel Lalonde. This donation is part of the brand's continued relationship with The Climate Project, which started back in 2007 with the Core Values campaign featuring Francis and Sofia Coppola. Clap, clap LV!

If I had my way, every day would be Earth Day, but for now, I'll take what I can get. Next up for its eco movement debut is fashion e-tailer Yoox. If selling delectable designer clothes weren't enough, the site has decided to launch Yooxygen.com, a permanent salute to Earth Day. This sub-site offers everything eco: sustainably made clothes, natural jewels, and even a cool vintage selection. Like its main site, the selection is vast and filled with goodies. Trust me, it's worth a peruse.

On Our Radar: Manufacturers and Retailers Inching More Toward Eco

We all know it's impossible to reverse the damages done to Mother Earth, but there's always room for improvement. That's why an increasing amount of manufacturers and retailers are stepping up to fight global warming and climate change. Stats show an increase in the amount of companies taking interest in learning how to conserve energy, finding ethical sourcing partners, and educating consumers about the benefits of sustainable methods. We're ecstatic to see big companies, such as Target with it's Loomstate line, step up to the challenge.

Gap is increasing its efforts in finding eco-sensitive products and ethical sourcing.

H&M plans to increase its organic cotton products stable by 50 percent this year.
Patagonia's business is based on sustainability and builds timeless, classic designs that last.
NY-based jewelry designer Lisa Linhardt sells environmentally sensitive jewelry, notably engagement rings with ethical diamonds mined in Canada.

Sneak Peek! Loomstate For Target Spring '09

With Spring upon us, Spring collections have been blooming left and right. The latest one to pop up is Loomstate For Target's Spring '09 line for men and women. The affordable retailer teamed up with Scott Mackinlay Hahn and CFDA award winner Rogan Gregory - who's no stranger to Target collaborations - to deliver an edgy and eco-friendly line that uses 100-percent certified organic cotton. Rest assured design has not be sacrificed in the process. Plaids, easygoing tees, board shorts, relaxed skirts, and breezy dresses all give off a stylish beachy vibe. The collection will be available in stores and online on April 19, just before Earth Day.

Fab Flash: Keds and Payless Are All About the Green

In honor of Earth Day on April 22, Keds and Payless are creating eco-friendly footwear collections - the Keds Green Label collection and the Payless Zoe and Zac line. The cool thing about these two collections is that they both focus on the fashion side first; the green element is an important bonus. “It’s visibly chic, effortlessly hip, and invisibly green,” said LuAnn Via, president of Payless ShoeSource.

The Keds Green Label, launching next month, will include a classic sneaker style and a boat shoe-inspired slip-on - both styles will retail for $55 at Nordstrom and select stores. Payless's Zoe and Zac line debuts near Earth Day and will comprise of wedges, sandals, sneakers, and ballet flats - all priced under $30. Both collections use organic cotton, recycled rubber, and nontoxic dyes. What a fun way to rock Spring's candy kicks trend!

Yesterday may have been Earth Day, but I'm all for going green 365 days a year. Sometimes I take the phrase very literally, like with this pretty, vintage silk floral top ($32), but it's all about the mindset, right?
