Today's 'It' girl Sienna Miller plays the original 'It' girl Edie Sedgwick in the movie Factory Girl hitting theaters today. After getting the inside scoop from the film's costume designer John Dunn, I learned that Sienna's wardrobe was, not surprisingly, mostly vintage - except a pair of killer Jimmy Choo boots. As you can see, all these wardrobe pieces are still stylish as ever.

In honor of the much-anticipated release of Factory Girl, with Sienna Miller, if not solely for its movie wardrobe, here is a happening handbag named after the film's heroine. The movie is based on the life of Andy Warhol muse and original 'It' girl Edie Sedgwick - the blazing superstar who came to define both the glamour and the tragedy of our celebrity-obsessed culture. The Edie Large Tote is $675, the medium tote is $575, and it comes in more colors.

A 1965 fashion spread in Life magazine dubbed her "the girl with the black tights," and Edie Sedgwick wore them with everything, from dressy shift dresses to long t-shirts. So with mod styles and black tights so ubiquitous this fall—not to mention an upcoming biopic called "Factory Girl" starring Sienna Miller as Edie—it seems fitting that the socialite/actress/Factory regular should kick off Fabsugar's new Style Icons feature, where we'll spotlight past and present fashion plates and tell you how to get each one's signature look.
With her cropped platinum hair and dark-lined eyes, Edie Sedgwick defined effortless but edgy mod glamour.

Mermaids aren't only found in water (they do exist I swear!), they're also spotted on the Emmy red carpet! These stars all chose the womanly silhouette of dresses with form-fitting bodices and flared bottoms. Katherine's was the most dramatic, while Kyra and Becki kept it fresh with layers of feathers and tulle.

I have an addiction to coats. I cast the blame on this one fabulous friend of mine. She has the keen ability to salvage a vintage coat and make it moving art; I don't know if it's her Edie Sedgwick-like intensity or the coat, but girl always turns heads when she walks down the street.

In designer Heidi Handler's world, contrast plays a major role. Strong and soft hues are fused, metallics are worn in a casual manner, and simple and complex are bosom buddies.
Lovenia, named after Heidi's great-grandmother, is the designer's debut collection and it's nothing short of perfection.

Wearing a leopard print is a bold gesture — see Edie Sedgwick — but sometimes that's the intention. I love that we've been seeing leopard spots on the backs of celebs and on the runway; Valentino sure knows how to create a spotted masterpiece (middle). Does a leopard print coat stir up your animal instincts?
